‘Borderlands 3’ Gets Hotfix For Cloud Saves Issues
- Issues affecting tons of players.
- Epic Games Store seems to be the problem.
- Borderlands 3 seems to be selling well.
Borderlands 3, despite being so well reviewed, has a lot of bugs and glitches. Everything from exploits to get legendary loot, to frame rate issues, and losing your saved data. Gearbox knows this and has released a hotfix to try and protect player cloud saves. Unfortunately, if you’ve lost your cloud saves already, there is nothing that can be done. Those are unrecoverable.
The issue only seems to affect PC players, some of which who have lost over 12 hours of data, and it looks to be connected to the Epic Games Store. Apparently a pop up is supposed to display on your screen when saving is taking place, and this pop up, for whatever reason, isn’t doing as designed. As Epic and Gearbox continue to resolve the issues, they have created a page that may help some players.
2K games has been giving statements, when asked, to some publications:
We understand just how frustrating this situation is for those who have been affected, so we’re working with our partners at Epic to monitor the situation and ensure the issue gets fully resolved.
We’re listening closely to our community and players, and will continue to do all we can to ensure the best experience possible for everyone.
Despite these issues, Borderlands 3 seems to have had a successful launch. Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, went to Twitter to talk about how launch day concurrent players has surpassed Borderlands 2 all time high player count. To stay up to date with everything going on with Borderlands 3 and all the patches it’ll be getting, you’ll need to follow Gearbox’s Twitter account.
