‘Borderlands 3’ Getting New Paid DLC This December.

  • Will be apart of the season pass.
  • Launching on December 19th.
  • Moxxi returns to take you on a heist.

Developer Gearbox Software and publisher 2K Games have announced their first paid downloadable content for Borderlands 3. On the 19th of December players can pick up the first post launch campaign add-on Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. For those who own the season pass, it’s included. Borderlands 3 is currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and PC via The Epic Games Store.

In Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, Moxxi is assembling a crew to steal loot from a derelict space station casino, and she’s deemed you worthy to accompany her ragtag team of misfits. Together, you all will need to successfully battle your way through Hyperion security forces and psychopath casino loyalists to reach a safe loaded with precious Eridium, cash, and all-new Legendary loot. Before being on lockdown, this was once a place that was perfect for Handsome Jack’s extravagant lifestyle and dirty dealings.

To be able to reach The Handsome Jackpot, players will have to have played enough of the Borderlands 3 story to have unlocked access to Sanctuary III. Expect challenging encounters as the enemies and loot aboard the station will scale to your Vault Hunter’s level. Gearbox has claimed this has been done to ensure the casino heist missions are difficult, and the loot worth overcoming the obstacles to get. Players will relive their memories from Pandora as they fight against Hyperion forces that have outlived Handsome Jack. Face off against never-before-seen enemies, and Goliath bosses.

Even more legendary weapons and gear are being added to Borderlands 3. Expand your collection of custom items with even more Vault Hunter Heads and Skins. There are also weapon trinkets, an ECHO Device Skin, and new Emotes to get. There was a lot of hype and anticipation for Borderlands 3 when it was first revealed. Afterwards, it was nothing but bad news for consumers. The Epic Games Store deal, launching with Denuvo DRM, controversial handling of review copies, issues with cloud saves, and Xbox One overheating issues. Despite this, it managed to shatter 2K’s records and have a successful free Halloween-themed event.

What are your thoughts on Borderlands 3? Have you enjoyed it? What would you like to see added? Are you excited for Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot? To stay up to date on Borderlands 3, make sure to follow the developers on Twitter, Facebook, and their official website.
