Devolver Digital at E3 2019: Bloody and Bizarre as Always

  • Five Important Things Showcased.
  • Four Games, One Arcade Cabinet.

Devolver has done it again with their wild and crazy E3 showcase. There was just as much blood and viscera as usual, this time in a newly updated direct to video format very similar to Nintendo Direct. Devolver has brought us five announcements for games and add-ons coming in 2019 and 2020. Without further ado, here is what Devolver has brought us in the first ever Devolver Direct.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a new multiplayer title pitting players against each other in an attempt to survive wild and crazy obstacle courses of escalating chaos in an attempt to claim victory. A hundred players fight alone or as a few teams to complete challenges. Unlock customization options and force your way through the physics based nightmares of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. The game will release in 2020.

Devolver Bootleg

Imagine a complete grey-market system, where companies take games and make fake bootlegs of those games before selling them for a nominal fee. That is what Devolver has done with their new title Devolver Bootleg. A $4.99 8-in-1 Devolver Digital bootleg launcher for games like Hotline Milwaukee and Enter the Gun Dungeon. You can pick up the game right now, while it’s on sale for 1% off. Just go to and pick it up on Steam.

In Carrion, you are the monster. You are a… thing of unknown origin, and in this “reverse horror game” you will do whatever you can to escape. Devour scientists, crawl through air ducts, and evolve in order to enact vengeance on those who have imprisoned you. The game will release in 2020.

The Messenger: Picnic Panic

The free DLC for 2018’s The Messenger: Picnic Panic finally has a release date. The retro-styled Ninja action game is taking a tropical vacation in The Messenger: Picnic Panic. The DLC was revealed at the 2018 Kinda Funny Games Showcase, but we were unsure of a release date until now. At the Devolver Direct, the release date of July 11th, 2019.

Enter The Gungeon: House of the Gundead

Devolver has made a name for itself by release things that no one should buy. They’ve created a cryptocurrency called the Lootbox Coin. They’ve created a parody of “classic” mini-consoles, the Devolver Classic Edition mini-console. Now, they’re upping the ante one more time. Welcome the $5,000 Enter The Gungeon: House of the Gundead light gun arcade cabinet. Yes, you heard that right. For $5,000, an arcade near you could have a very real, actually purchasable, physical Light Gun arcade cabinet set in the Enter the Gungeon universe. Pre-orders are available now with the cabinet expected to ship in early 2020.
