‘Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot: A New Power Awakens – Part 1’ Details Released
- Expected to release this Spring.
- Brings Dragon Ball Super into the game.
- Time Machine update is live.
After leaking in the V-Jump magazine, Bandai Namco has confirmed the first details on the upcoming downloadable content for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, titled A New Power Awakens – Part 1. Players can expect this new content to release sometime this Spring. It’s also been revealed that the title will receive a new Music Compilation Pack add on for those who want more musical variety in their game.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot: A New Power Awakens – Part 1 begins the transition from Z to Super, as it brings in new characters and transformations from the latest series. Players will now be able ascend past the levels of Super Saiyan and reach the level of Gods. Both Vegeta and Goku will have access to this new transformation once unlocked. The DLC will introduce the angel Whis, and his God of Destruction, Beerus, the latter of which is part of an exclusive Boss Battle Episode.
Accessing the content can be done at any time during your game, and you’ll be able to use the form to take on many strong foes that you have left, or for those side missions you’ve yet to complete. If you own the season pass, this DLC is included. A New Power Awakens – Part 2 is scheduled to release later in the year, with details scarce on what it will be about. If I had to guess, it should lead players into the Resurrection of F arc. If your interested in the music DLC, it’ll include the following tracks:
- MAKAFUSHIGI ADVENTURE!
- ROMANTIC AGERUYO
- WE GOTTA POWER
- DETEKOI TOBIKIRI ZENKAI POWER
- BOKUTACHIHA TENSHIDATTA
- Dragon Soul
- UNMEINO HI ~TAMASHII VS TAMASHII~
- “DRAGON BALL Z” BGM (TV)
- KAIBUTSU FRIEZA VS DENSETSUNO SUPER SAIYANS
- YAPPARI SAIKYO SONGOKO!! (WE GOTTA POWER)
- SOLID STATE SCOUTER
Earlier this month, Bandai Namco shared details on the upcoming patch 1.05 update that has now been released. This update addresses several issues, such as: the issue where players would sometimes receive an application error when playing the Training inside Capsule Corp. with a different character than who you were controlling in the field, an issue where players would get stuck in Episode 10 of the Android Saga, and other background bugs that needed addressing. It also introduces the Time Machine, allowing you to essentially fast travel to any time period available in the game to finish off side quests you may have missed.
