Hey all, stumbled upon the project today and just wanted to blowhard quickly of how wonderful of an idea this all is.
I've been around for decades now. From the old Firefly chatroom in the mid 1990s, to being very active on the old Xbox-Scene (RIP xbox modding)
Old-school gamer, games like Super Mario 3, Contra, Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 2&3(4&6), Gran Turismo 2, Halo and Halo 2 summed up my childhood, teenage years etc
and games like Demon Souls and Dark Souls Ninja Gaiden , Ultima Online, Age of Conan, Warhammer, WoW, Battlefield 2 and 3, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Mass Effect, Oblivion and Skrim kind of sum up my adult years.
Currently boycotting EA, and playing Escape From Tarkov, which to date is the best mixture of hardcore challenge and FPS mechanics I've ever witnessed. Don't care about the recent drama with it one bit, it's literally the best shooter I've played in my almost 40 years.
Specifically avoided Battlefield 5 because of the "omg there was women on the front lines" revisionist history buillshit, with a pinch of "Star Wars: Battlefront 2 LootboxGate" on top. Looking forward to joining an echo chamber that is on the correct side of morality.
