    Hello from the Pacific NW

Hey! Mark from the Seattle area (Arlington actually) here. Probably one of the older users here but I'm a big believer in the core idea of this site. Overall a bad to below average gamer but still enjoy playing!

My first computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80 with 4K of RAM (or the Trash 80!) with tape cassette loading and storage. The very first PC game I played on it was Haunted House, a text, puzzler game that I never was able to beat! This event foreshadowed my future in gaming as my house is littered with a large assortment and variety of games in all manner of incompleteness!!! Currently have all of the major consoles and built my first PC gaming rig this past year.

Games I enjoy: new Tomb Raiders, Horizon Zero Dawn (loved this game, the reason I bought a PS4, and finished it!), Forza, turn based strategy games like X-Com, puzzle games, simulations/base builders, etc. Got turned off early on with online multi-player as my first experiences were extremely toxic but would like to get back into it with like minded people.

Looking forward to this community/concept and what it may become.

    Almost my twin.
    Live just south of Olympia.
bad to below average gamer. I don't even bother with competitive online gaming.
My 1st pc was some generic 33mhz pc back in '93-94 (but had experience with high-school's apple II & friend's atari 800, & another friend's commodore 64, before I had my own)
Have a bunch of unplayed, or unfinished games. Had to sell off my consoles though. wish I still had my original sega & nes. I do still have a working atari 2600.

Helped build the terra-luna sims 1 site, then got the boot by the owner over a difference of opinion on allowing hundreds of political threads in the forum (just about one new thread for every tweet by a certain someone). Since she agreed with the general attitude of the posts and I wanted them all consolidated down to just a couple of threads, I got accused of threatening to compromise the security of the site and was booted. Didn't even say I agreed or disagreed with allowing the posts (though I did point out that most of it was exaggerated nonsense, or misinformed), just didn't want them all over the forum and distracting from things like, you know, actually talking about the game.

That's what attracted my attention about this forum.
