Yeah, I feel like there are actually a lot of people sharing similar stories.

Back in the day, women were a minority in nerdomns sure BUT we were there, absolutely.
Heck, women are and always has been an overwhelming majority on the cosplay scene... probably because women tends to be the ones who like to create and sew costumes.

And well.... I have never ever been mistreated any of these places. Quite the opposite sometimes I have been treated like royalty. Heck, there is this Danish gaming exspo I go to every year, where indie developers showcase their beta products and you get to play them and give feedback and well... I am highly in demand at that place. They really want my opinion on their stuff.
I usually give a lot of technical critisisms and well... some of those people can write FAST in their tiny little notebooks lol. I just love being there and see what people come up with.

But yeah, a HUGE issue is made out of a none issue and it is annoying. I used to be greeted with open arms at these places and now.... People look at me with fear, what if I am one of those activist types.
Thankfully it usually last until I crack the first joke and you can just see the relief on their faces. "Oh god she is not a shrew, thank god!"

I can't even blame these men, I do not blame them one single bit! They get attacked left and right for just doing their hobby in quiet not hurting anybody, and they have ALWAYS been very welcoming to everybody.

I am sorry I went on a tangent, but man I hate these activist types making it so necessary for these people to always be on guard.

As I like to say, our gift to the world is "Lars Von Trier." "Mads Mikkelsen." and half of the cast of "Game of Thrones." .... We are a delightful country. lol.

In all honesty I kind of love it, all these extremely weird things seems to come from us. It kind of tells a lot about us as a country that everything goes.

    And hello fellow writer!
What do you write and got a link to read? We all want an audience after all.

I'm a Soviet and we gave the world some weird stuff too; a little game (that was supposed to be a Duke Nukem game) Vivisector Beast Within one (of the many) examples.

I doubt I will be that thought provoking, I will just be honest with my thoughts... then again, that seems to be very thought provoking these days.

"It's okay to be white." WHAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!? .... my god, who have ever heard of such a thing.

    .....
