(A friend of mine always tells me that's how I should introduce myself to everyone, lol.)
I use to be an administrator of LucasForums back when it was still alive, a video game forum dedicated to the games released by LucasArts. Though, just as LucasArts fell into decline and its eventual death, so did our forums. Before that happened, the forums slowly changed its focus from video games to politics. It ended up changing a lot of things for the worse long before we felt the effects of LucasArts going under and it ended up poisoning our user-base, turning everyone against each other.
I love video games, always have since I was a kid, and even though I'm a secondary school teacher here in Australia, I still love video games and play them often.
The days of LucasForums where we talked nothing but video games were awesome... and that's why I'm here. I believe in what Jeremy is doing with Exclusively Games because I have seen what political discussion can do to communities based on video games and the like.
I want to plant my flag here and get back into talking about video games with people in a web forum like I use to back in the day.
