Hello everyone,
I like many others am immensely excited for EG and Jeremy and really being a part of something without a political driving force. I've personally been following Jeremy and all his content for close to a year now and have appreciated every bit he has done for the community.
I don't know how to go about with this intro thing as it's been a long time since posting on any games forum where MMORPG for WoW was the last active place I remained. But anyway!
A little on myself - Can call me Shields or Adam, my first exposure to gaming came from growing up where I was captivated at a young age by this device a girl was playing, turns out this was the Gameboy with Tetris. The strangest thing was this girl gave me the Gameboy and from there, a journey began. Went to the Gameboy color to the Playstation, to DOOM and many other MDOS and windows games like Commander Keen and more, to the godly introduction of the Nintendo 64 (Still have my very first from that year in my room).
Fast forward through the 90s and 2000s and perhaps the only things I didn't play were the PS3, and the Wii/Wii U for the time.
I've written a few things in the past for various boards, forums but nothing truly formal I suppose, just another player giving his thoughts and sharing experience for the games that I encountered.
I've also been attached to the Warhammer 40K universe for PC and the tabletop side. The Tabletop version is addictive when you have that one army and have the community in the vicinity.
All-time favorite (s) will forever be Halo 1 and Halo 2 without question. Today, I still maintain an active status across PC, PlayStation, occasionally Xbox and now, rekindled with Nintendo. Not to say however that I'm not active with other games, I still maintain a competitive presence in most FPS (Not Fortnite), MMOs, Sandbox, RTS and MOBAS. But I have to say, a favorite at the moment on PC is certainly Elite Dangerous - being able to take a moment from the world to enter a virtual recreation of our galaxy where you are certain to be alone and certain to be the first to discover something is just captivating.
To-date, I'm currently doing a Bachelor's degree with Physics as a major and Mathematics as a minor but looking to do a PhD in Physics in the long-term future.
