Hey, everyone. Torgo's the name and gaming's my....game.
It's kinda sad that a non-political games journalism website is a rare thing these days but not all that surprising. So, I was glad to back it and I'm excited to see where this goes.
When it comes to gaming, I rarely play online. I'm not much for competitive play and it seems that a majority of online players tend to act like jerks. So, I focus on single player campaigns in order to avoid that issue.
I play on the Xbox One and I'm currently going through Red Dead Redemption 2.....slowly. I'm typically waaaaaay behind on games as I try to avoid paying full price for them. I can't justify paying $60+ for games these days. Especially since developers tend to sell half of a game and then charge you for the other half via DLC. I only got RDR2 because of a really good Black Friday sale.
I'm not really a fan of Call of Duty, Battlefield, or Fallout. However, I love games like Tomb Raider, Halo (except Halo 5 left a lot to be desired), and pretty much any sandbox game you could throw at me. I'm also a sucker for the classic point and click adventure games of my childhood (Thank God for GOG!).
Anyway, I hope to meet some cool people here and have some fun gaming conversations. See y'all around!

Nice to meet you and yeah sadly there are fewer and fewer games that justify a price like 60 bucks.
Imho that is only justified for games that you can play for long time, like say a Flight Simulation like the IL-2 Great Battles series, or something like Assetto Corsa.
The funny thing is that looking back on the last years, I had most fun with the non-AAA Indie or Crowdfunded games.
Of the new releases this year, I would only count two as contenders for my personal GOTY which would be KCD and Battletech........and KCD ranks higher as the base game is more well rounded imho.
