Hey everyone, just popping in to introduce myself.
My name is Johnathan Irwin, but I tend to go by JIRWINKO in the online world. I'm a writer at the small site Hooked Gamers (and one of several hundred applicants for Exclusively Games, I have my fingers crossed in hope!) and I also run a small YouTube channel that's undergoing a revamp and will return next year.
I've been gaming since age 4 when my grandma gave me an NES for my birthday, and gaming has been a part of my life ever since. Console gaming, PC gaming, and as of this year even table top gaming with Warhammer 40k. The escape that videogames offer from the chaos and turmoil of the world is one that is vital and must be maintained, and the attempt by bigger sites out there to continuously try to bleed their political and social opinions into everything is not what reader deserve, nor is it what developers and consumers deserve. These big sites have become bullying ideologues, and I'm glad to see people come together in an organized manner to push back against it.
And just to take it back from my soapbox a moment, my top three favorite game series are Metal Gear, Mass Effect (minus Andromeda), and Fallout (minus 76 and Tactics).
My personal game of the year is Red Dead Redemption 2.
