      Hey there.

As you can see by the rules, namely the one about no politics, posting about 'SJWs' is not allowed, the same way posting about 'Nazis' etc is not allowed. I would invite you to reconsider your username for the same reason

What? How come posting about SJWs is not allowed? It's the main reason why I follow TheQuartering, because he talks about all the content never mentioned by mainstream media. Have a look yourself https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfw...arch?query=SJW
and by the way, skip the smiley next time, it doesn't make your comment more palatable. Thanks.

That's kind of a let down. Why not have a section quarantined for this kind of topics. Just say this is the place it is okay to put that stuff. I mean Jeremy got banned for a host of services because he voiced some of his views related to sexuality (and cosplayers), which I can't talk about or tell you what it was because this rule is preventing me from doing so. I mean are cosplayers related to games and excapeism? Not if they are sexualized apparently. Based on the rules they are clearly banned as they are not part of any game's content.

It doesn't matter why you follow TheQuartering. His purpose for this website was to be a politics-free forum where video games can be discussed without unrelated nonsense and drama. If this was a right-leaning website made for game discussion, it would be fine to discuss SJW's. But it's not. This isn't TheQuartering.com. It's ExclusivelyGames.com. Video games only. No politics.

There's already places to talk about SJWs and such... from 8Chan to Encyclopedia Dramatica to Kiwi Farms... and those places are MUCH better suited towards the topics as the users there go all "deep dive" on the subjects to bring out all sorts of lulz.

I think some discussion would be okay, if it's related to some SPECIFIC happening, like a game company doing something to try and appease SJWs, but the focus should probably be on the game company making bone head decisions and less about whatever specific SJWs helped to bring it about.

Especially since that's usually the goal of the SJW and the reason they do it. When you give them specific attention you're only encouraging them to do it more. Instead it's better to take away their attention by not attributing anything directly to them and instead placing all the blame/outrage on whatever idiot chose to humor them.

Do we get a ban counter? So we can see who wins the most banned competition?
Also what is the stance on memes? Is the grey man allowed?

It's early days. You can't accuse the government of putting chemicals in the water to turn the freaking frogs gay when the wells haven't even been dug yet.

Well the fact is that they did censor my post, so I guess the wells have already been dug.

              No politics.
The altruistic intent is to be lauded. We should all be able to come together and enjoy talking about games without creating divides based on ideals we hold ourselves to.
Commendable, but not realistic, considering the characters and environment being fostered in modern games, and the tightly censored, I mean moderated, online player interactions.

Alright, fair enough. I did notice odd behavior in my notifications earlier today where I got notified you posted in this thread but the thread name was missing and the notification wouldn't dismiss, which could be indicative of a post being removed.

Linko64 , it's important in terms of building and establishing trust with the community that you resist the temptation to remove or alter posts without warning. Having to deal with abuse of power like that is why a lot of us are here rather than places like reddit.

That said, everyone else, I still urge you once again: don't fly off the handle about the wording of the rules on a website that hasn't even formally launched yet. Linko64 has also already established that he's open to community feedback on the rules by updating them once already. Keep offering constructive feedback instead of just trying to challenge his authority to gratify your own egos.

We're all on the same side here, gentlemen. Linko64 has suffered indignities for not kowtowing to rightthink just the same as any of us. The last thing that needs to happen is starting a circular firing squad and doing the work of the enemy for them.

The rules are quite clear. Their post was directly political in nature, which goes against the core value of the site. If people wish to discuss 'SJW' and the like, they will find their posts edited or deleted. It's quite clear that the core value is video game talk, no politics. I hope people can take the rules and core value of the site into consideration.

Some people have no self-control. It's why twitter is a cesspool. Don't take it personal, and stay the course.

I agree with this, I feel like some leeway or even a quarantine forum board may be useful (as to keep the primary forum message boards politics-free and to serve as a redirect for any video game discussion that might become inundated with it). An easy example I can see of this being an issue is if someone released a new game (i.e. Battlefield V) and players have a bone to pick with the fact that they're going out of their way to politicize a video game with progressive values that contradict historical aspect of the game when the IP itself is based upon realism (like Battlefield 1). I love the idea of having a purely gaming oriented message board but I can see how there will be certain gray areas in regards to video game discussion.

Outside of the aforementioned issue, I completely look forward to having my little hovel in the RPG section and discussing various retro CRPGs with fellow nerds.

I get that this is a "no politics" zoneand that's great, but there is inevitably going to be at least SOME minor overlap as it relates to gaming topics. And calling the rules the "Code of Conduct" is a politically charged term in the current environment which someone should have realized right off the bat.

Hopefully the level of bullshit we can avoid is calling things "stupid" without any actual content in the reply. Without some sort of additive criticism, a blanket reply of "that's just stupid" is merely and attack, adding nothing interesting or useful to the conversation.
