We could use a General Discussions board

It would be nice to have an area for general discussion, so people can talk about movies, books, life, etc - just shooting the shit while getting to know each other and building community.

Okay, perhaps I took that line as more insulting than it was intended, but it was poorly worded and that is on you, too. But, moving on, hard feelings erased. Chalk it up to intent and voice sometimes coming across the wrong way in print.

If all you want to do is encourage people to post on a different thread, maybe say that in a respectful manner instead of this: "How about contributing your ideas, while checking the suggestions of others, instead of spamming threads which consist of a single text line" when I have been a heavily contributing member to the forums. Perhaps you feel my contributions to those threads was spam, too, in which case - you're welcome to your opinion - but I don't feel that way and considering the number of people who have engaged with me in conversation, apparently nobody else does, either.
