my post is a new post and therefore the topic is unread

So...I think this is a new behavior of the website in the last day or so. When I post a reply to a topic/thread it now thinks that topic/thread has unread posts so I have to leave that topic/thread and return to it to mark it (and the subforum/channel) as read. Sorry if that doesn't explain it well. I'd need to take and post a series of screenshots to show you.
