Not so much a deadline. But are the site creators only looking for game reviews of new games within a certain time-frame?
I don't expect game reviews for Playstation 1 games. So I am pretty sure that game reviewers will be required to play only newly released games. But how long until a game's reviews become irrelevant? When are released game reviews expected? Within 1 week? 1 month? Every quarter? Within the year?
If gamers are to trust reviewers, reviewers need enough time to play the game thoroughly. But game reviewers may also have a lot of games to play though.
I'm just wondering because I'm a patient gamer. Meaning I wait until popular games are on sale or heavily discounted before I buy them (while still having a lot of unfinished games on steam). Because of my purchasing practices, I think by the time I buy the game it will no longer be of interest.
Maybe there can be a slower reviewer section that can "UPDATE" the reviews since (and this is important) games have been changing after their initial release.
TL;DR
Game reviews are expected very quickly on new games. I can't take part because that is too much money. So how about I be used to thoroughly update game reviews since games are changing over time?

Game Review deadlines?

In my opinion, I think it is valuable to have updated reviews for a game especially if that game has had some major changes made to it after the release. DLC is one thing but of most value to me as a consumer is what version of a game is the review for. If I'm thinking of buying a game I try to find recent reviews for it even if the game is a year or more old. That allows me to better gauge if the game is worth it now whereas maybe at release it had issues. I guess what I'm getting at is personally I'd like to see reviews of any game regardless of age.
