Older gamers such as myself have been around long enough to offer a unique perspective which may be valuable for context. Also, we grew up when gaming and cyberpunk culture was much different than it is now and it may be useful for historical insight as well.

The fundamental flaw with your idea is if you age gate the tread, this "unique perspective which may be valuable for context" isn't available to anyone other than those who are old enough to access it.

Would be difficult to actually do. No proper way to check someones age, but there are also people who fall short of the 35+ range (25-30) that may have an appreciation for the classics, have played and enjoyed them while at the same time capable of coming off as having grown up during that era through a mixture of research, socialization with those who did grow up in that time picking up certain behaviours and understanding.
