Assassin's Creed where every second warrior/mercenary/soldier is female, isn't that a political agenda? Or the main character constantly dropping atheist remarks in a time period where it is completely unrealistic?
BFV5: Trying to sell alternate history as reality?
ME:A making all humanoid females deliberately ugly, even the asari, who were established by the lore of previous games, as being beautiful to every other species?
Uncharted Lost Legacy, where only females are portrayed as good or reasoned, and there are zero females within the ranks of the bad guys?

Whether you care to admit it or not, this is the direct result of the politics of some people who are in game development.

The saddest part is that many games are still called out by the professional victims as not being woke enough. Like AC:Odyssey being called out for forcing a straight romance. Yet I didn't even hear it mentioned that the game forced a gay romance as well. If one goes the other goes as well, no?

It's one thing to not be bothered by this, but why actively deny the existence of political undertones in games?

So if I mention that every humanoid has an ugly face in ME:A is that politics? Or am I allowed to mention that?

However in all of your posts you have managed to name two, neither of which meet the criteria.

Yea, I personally don't understand why It's so difficult just to avoid talking about the crappy games pushing political agendas, and so called professional review sites trying to push it on people. There are so many games that aren't infested with that BS you could be talking about instead.

Now I'm not implying people should pretend It's not a big problem, because it is, but there's lots of sites you can go to, to talk about such, there's no need to discuss such here.

No Political/Religious/Gender/Sexuality Discussions - While purely political topics are banned, discussions on a game's content that has political elements (E.g. Metal Gear's anti-war/weapons trade stance, Elves being an oppressed race in Dragon Age) are permitted. However, this is not to be used as a platform to purely express your political view. The same applies to sexuality, gender and religious topics.

What is concerning about this site that Jeremy is trying to build is someone like you who is sitting behind a keyboard and that your first response to me is to call me a liar when all I did was ask a simple question. Good start.

Well first of all, It's impossible to review all games. When it comes to reviews though, something like BF 5 probally wont be covered at all, but outside of games blatantly shoving it in your face like that, what Jeremy means by such as far as written reviews go, is people writing reviews for this site aren't going to interject their own political beliefs into a game. Review a game for what it is, and what developers are aiming for, not what some political stance tells you it should be

Example: Someone writing about a game set in a historical European setting, Isn't going to be bitching about how there aren't black people in it, and other nonsense like that.

Other then that, just ignore the existence of such crappy games altogether. The vast majority of games don't push political agendas, It's pretty much exclusively a western "so called" AAA issue, no other part of the industry is really contaminated with it(except for Sony censoring things).

Yea, AC Odyssey is far cleaned, and wasn't designed to push a agenda, but then the developers folded to the pressure of a certain political correct wannabe activist group. Like I said, as long as you don't talk about the new DLC, AC Odyssey is fine.

    I agree with you @tejotl

I don’t know how many times I have heard, Dragon Age : Inqusition was a horrible game filled with identity politics.
In my 150 hours of playing the main game and DLCs, we have 10 minutes of game play with Dorian talking about how he’s gay and his dad intended to ‘blood magic the gay away’. . .

    Oh no!

And oh, There’s Creme de le Creme. Oh, he was born a woman - 5 minutes of conversation.

    OMG - identity politics everywhere.

It reminds me of the XXXBox mass effect scandal where someone parody it, with penises everywhere in screenshots.

Those takes should have that level of scrutiny.

With BF5 you kind of do though, because every single aspect about the game is about shoving that agenda down people throats, so anything more then a vague state(IE it sucks/It's good) with no details given at all, would =discussing politics.

Still it doesn't mean that to have a discussion about these games you need to use identity politics as a pivot point. You can judge them by their gaming features. Currently the outrage machine is just like a snake eating its own tail
