The forum is shambles, layout sucks, no community managers, no reps, no nothing. Moderation is still not transparent. Despite numerous promises that it will be.

I had hoped with 150K in pocket Jeremy could at least manage to hire qualified and passionate people. Well, apparently not. This forum seems to be run by nobody, left to it's own devices.

And the site? Still completely MIA. It doesn't take two months to set up a review site. It doesn't have to have full functionality immediately, but after 150K and two months there should be more than a placeholder plaintext html. It took me about 2 hours and $0 to set up my review site if I don't count the time spent on writing the reviews.

With the amount of people wanting to be published on the site all they'd have to do is select the best submitted works and they'd already have content for the site. The only effort in that is replaying to applicants, which they couldn't manage either. As most people are still waiting for a reply even those who sent their applications in the earliest days.

I'm not trying to be a detractor, I want the project to succeed, but at this rate it will be weaponized in the hands of the shill media, pointing fingers "Look how those idiots thought they could do better than us"
Epic is in hot water right now for putting out a rushed product that everyone loves to pick on for better or for worse. SEGA, Activision, EA, and so many other companies are constantly criticized for putting out rushed products for holidays or to mai

So if all these companies are constantly hounded for this despite having million (sometimes billion) dollar budgets. It seems kinda odd to call out EG for being slow to finish up an entire news and review network on 150k...

How many times do I have to tell you, that I got no message about it's deletion? It was just gone without notice!
Maybe the system isn't working properly and the message got lost, but I definitely received nothing.

I would rather deal with a games forum that is still be being developed knowing I will get proper news and reviews about games than deal with the many shill media's that are infested with not gamers but game's activists who don't even buy the bloody games in the first place or play them at all.

Once again, the reason for the topic being closed was disclosed to you. Action was needed towards you as it was not a major breach of CoC that would result in a ban. If you have any further questions, please send them my way.

Like "this thread was merged with so and so thread" or "moved because it was in the wrong section" none of that, at least not in a way that one can see. It's as if this forum has a secret police instead of an actual police.

You need a little thing that instead of saying "senior member" says "moderator" with maybe different colour text for your name and maybe something else to make it very clear you are not just a pleb.

I could just put "mod" in my signature and start pretending I am a mod and it would look no different than you. That is what he is saying. I mean, for now its not the biggest issue since the site isn't up, and this is all kind of just a scuffy alpha phase, but I wanted to be sure you understood what he was trying to say.

What are you talking about? I got no warning, no message, nothing whatsoever. What do you mean untrue? What is untrue? The complaint I made in that topic, or that I Got no message of its deletion?

Edit: I assure you neither of those were "untrue" there are definitely people going around the forum derailing conversations by accusing posters of politicizing. And I definitely got no message of the deletion of the thread.

As for modding, my "f*ck the police" thread was removed, without a peep about it.

Agreed, mod privileges should be given to active members on the forums that have a good reputation. The mods that go around every once and a while just to exercise their power should be removed from the forums and replaced.
