This project had been an absolute disappointment up to this point.
The forum is shambles, layout sucks, no community managers, no reps, no nothing. Moderation is still not transparent. Despite numerous promises that it will be.
I had hoped with 150K in pocket Jeremy could at least manage to hire qualified and passionate people. Well, apparently not. This forum seems to be run by nobody, left to it's own devices.
And the site? Still completely MIA. It doesn't take two months to set up a review site. It doesn't have to have full functionality immediately, but after 150K and two months there should be more than a placeholder plaintext html. It took me about 2 hours and $0 to set up my review site if I don't count the time spent on writing the reviews.
With the amount of people wanting to be published on the site all they'd have to do is select the best submitted works and they'd already have content for the site. The only effort in that is replaying to applicants, which they couldn't manage either. As most people are still waiting for a reply even those who sent their applications in the earliest days.
I'm not trying to be a detractor, I want the project to succeed, but at this rate it will be weaponized in the hands of the shill media, pointing fingers "Look how those idiots thought they could do better than us"

LMAO, for real. This MadMummy is quite the negative entity, and highly annoying to boot. Post history confirms that. I just hope the forum does not become infested with people like her. I see enough negativity on the internet, I don't want it here.Originally posted by Conflykt View Post*reading this post while logged into the Wordpress, watching moderators and editors publishing, adjusting, and bug fixing with time stamps every hour... including the last one from stateside at four in the morning*

We have a new update.
Alright! Unless there's a catastrophic technical glitch in the next few hours the main site should be visible Very Soon (tm). Looking forward to tomorrow!
I plan to soft launch the site today/tonight.
We've got content enough now to keep posting 5-10 new articles a day for the next month or so, just squashing a few bugs left. (I assume you all will find more)
Roadmap-
Soft Launch today/tonight
Reviews-The user reviews section, which is the primary hold up (we would of been live 2 weeks ago if not for it) will just roll out in about 10 days. The developers delivered something I wasn't happy with so they are re-working it.
Should be a pretty nice system and I figured why let it hold up the site any more.
Calendar Of Launches-I am working on an interactive calendar for users to see what games come out when and even submit ones that they want us to add. The design of that is done, the coding will be done after the user reviews tool.
Basically, today/tonight you'll have access to all the articles, forum & discord and I am going to push the developers hard to get the user review section done before EOM. Then it's all about adding even more value for you the user with the Calendar of events and much more in the next 30 or so days.
Stay Tuned

Be honest, if this was a fundraiser for an identity politics games site, the lot would be mocking the shit out of it for not delivering, instead of making excuses for them.
I'm not saying that's what you should do. But double standards do bother me.
And still the main problem is not that the self imposed deadline was missed, it's the complete lack of communication and transparency.
And leaving the forum out to dry after putting the least amount of effort into it. Basically this (the forum) is worse than a free project, and that says a lot.
Guessing why the site is delayed won't change these red flags. .Last edited by MadMummy76; 02-14-2019, 08:40 AM.

I never expected that it would go up right away. Just having new writers working on the site means there would be a lot issues with consistency and tone. I don't think one can just order 50+ articles in 1 month and expect it to all go well. At worst case Jeremy can trim the bad articles and add them later after editing if they are cause of delay. As for coding, there isn't much that can be done if it's hanging on the programmer.

It's only been a couple months since the Indiegogo campaign ended. I'd be willing to give him some more time. I'd rather see it done right rather than done quick.

I've encountered this too. Every time any sort of subject comes up that makes some individuals uncomfortable or they might disagree with... its instantly put on trial for the grand offense of being "political," even though having no correlation to politics at all.

I don't know, I've been trying to find his livestreams but couldn't find any at all, only very short excerpts uploaded by other people.
-
I thought he moves them to a different channel of his called Midwesterly

For anyone in another time zone, his livestreams might as well not exist, by the time I could watch its always gone. I don't understand why those can't be left up to be watched later. For 24 freaking hours at least.Originally posted by R.U.S.E View PostHe just made an update on his live stream (which is still going at the time of this writing)
