Seems fairly simple to me. Break the rules once and you get warned. Do it twice and you get banned. Should stop all talk of that nature in it’s tracks.

One thing I thought of was that they could coordinate to signal boost games that fit their "agenda", seems like more trouble than it's worth but it would be within rules to incessantly talk about games that pander to certain politically oriented types and drown out other discussions.. I don't think they have the discipline but something that crossed my mind while reading this thread.

Yeah i feel like the forum rules kind of stop them in their tracks really. Becuse they have to abide by the rules or face the ban hammer, these people only get their way by weaponising politics, and if that is not allowed they really have no ammo. In time they will show up just as regular users, as i'm sure some of them must be tired themselves of being slaves to others politics 24/7 and have never had a way out before.

I think being on this forum its importent to not see them as much as enemies but rather as people that may learn to like the way things used to be if the community here can show the internet how good it is just talking in a normal way about games and related media.

Tankster09: there are no "infiltrators" the people who come to this site will either follow the rules in the CoC, (or whatever they end up calling the forum rules), or they'll be dealt with by the sites moderators. According to Jeremy's post today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3IArgxPzA0. this has already happened. Check out the CoC related posts in the question and suggestion section of the forums. These are still being developed, but it'll give you an idea of what's expected from the members of this community. Then you'll know how you should play with everyone, and when someone should nudged back on topic.

    Hi,

One thing I see as a potential problem in implementation here is user registration without email verification. I did not have to confirm anything before posting this. Untested, but seems like you can create an account without verifying the email provided, so an NPC might be able to create unlimited accounts with any email.

I believe, at least from his video this morning, they are already banning people who refuse to follow the no politics rule. As long as people are talking games then does it matter? In fact it might be good to have people from different walks of life talking about something they both like. I'm sure if someone is being toxic and causing problems then they will get banned just like in any other forum.

The Same thing I am questioning. Hope somebody can respond or might have a better insight than both of us.
