Many apps and websites (Facebook, GroupMe, etc.) give users the ability to easily post polls in their groups. These polls can add interactivity and allow a group or community to display its overall opinion concerning any number of topics.
I imagine they'd be especially cool to have when the site has grown and there are actual writers, who can then use polls to get community input on questions they pose in their blogs.
