  • Can there be more categories to further split up topics?

Like based on genres of games? Like I want a place to discuss strategy games (Civilization VI specifically) but the only place is a general just video games thing. Can there me more cateogories to make posts?

^^ this. Break up the ones that have very frequent posts. You're going to need to limit posting somehow eventually, because of the way there are 10(?) posts per page. If there's too many posts too often then you won't be able to easily go back and read old posts. They'll constantly be pushed off the first page by new posts.

Well why is there an RPG sub forum but nothing for like strategy games?

Sub categories would be great, when done sparingly.

ehhh too much fracturing of the forums leads to dead sub forums. MMO CHampions was notorious for doing that, it was annoying as hell.

Yeah, but I mean I think we can all agree that this current way the forum is organized will only work while there are relatively few members. Once there are like 10000+, this will be a mess.

I dunno. I get your point, but I kind of like how the forum is organized right now with all kinds of game occupying the same space. It lets me see a big variety of threads without having to jump around very much.

    tl;dr I agree.
I hope they will split the subforums into more specific ones if they get too busy. Already some subforums have a high frequency of new posts and some don't. Video Games seems to be one of those high activity subforums and certainly could be split into subsub forums.
