    Separate TTRPG's from Board Games

Combing both TTRPGs(D&D, VTM, CoC, etc.) from board games will give each of the subforums more of a focus. Keeping them together will drown out folks who are looking for one type of media vs another. I personally have no interest in Board Games but rather TTPG's are my jam. The more granularity and focus each subforum has the greater the chance they will grow individually.

I don't have the answer, but I will say that the tabletop forum is very slow as is (sometimes as one 1 post/hour).

They're already both fairly popular, is there any specific bar you're looking for before you make the split? If you just leave it be to see if it grows it'll never happen, I don't really care about RPGs on a forum so if I need to wade through that to see board game discussion I'll just go to Reddit.

Yep. There's a reason r/rpg and r/boardgames are very, very distinct communities. If you lump them together you'll end up with an RPG subforum, or a board game subforum, or a completely dead subforum.
