  • R+18 Game Section

I've read Linco64's code of conduct, but I still think that there are adult games out there that can be discussed without any pornographic images attached to it, and that shouldn't be censored just because the readers need to be of age.

Will there ever be such a section for news on R+18 on the website? What about the forums?

Well probably along with Mature titles, like Mortal Kombat and Red dead redemption 2, just with a disclaimer of explicit sexual content or something.

I mean I never saw a review of the switcher with an image of a sex scene per se.

In terms of optics, I would say it is not a great idea to include Ao 18+ titles, I feel you would put-off more people than you gain. There's a palpable stigma around that group of gamers, and it will no-doubt be used to attack the site.

Regardless, Jeremy talked about using Amazon Affiliate Links for additional funding, and that breaks their rules:

      1.
      Enrollment and Eligibility

      (a) promote or contain sexually explicit or obscene materials,

      (b) promote violence or contain violent materials,
      ...
While the images may not be there, you are promoting the games, the games are materials, and those materials are sexually explicit. And I'm guessing the violence that gets you an Ao rating would fall under section (b). This would get mass flagged by Jeremy's haters almost immediately, if amazon's doesn't catch it. In the open market, there is a hard line drawn between "Adult Entertainment" and everything else, and you do not cross it. You exist entirely on either side of it.
