Good question. I would also like to see a dedicated thread for emulators as they are an important part of the retro gaming scene.
It's still only early days for the forum, but hopefully we'll see more specific threads added in future.

Also, I don't think there is anything nefarious about discussing emulators and emulating old games, as long as you legally own all the games you play then there is no need to discuss sources. And of course we all own the games we play, don't we?

Personally, my favourite retro games are on the C64 and Amiga platforms.

Emulation should absolutely be up for discussion, including homebrew hacks and mods. None of that is illegal; in any jurisdiction.

But yeah, sharing of roms and bios files is an oopsie doopsie.
