Good god I want that on PC or a modern console. Throw in Vengeance and Red Sun since you've got space. But good lord the story and presentation of Colony Wars and Colony Wars: Vengeance is nearly unequaled.

I still love revisiting Tomba one and two. I wish they'd remake those of make a sequel.

I feel the same way about Theme Park. Love the concept, but it was never as engaging as Rollercoaster Tycoon. I still play RCT when I have a spare hour or two.

generally anything that is more simplistic, pixelgrid games generally. Early 3D environmental games are bad generally or at least wonky.

I think a good example of this is that Link to the Past is still a great zelda game, but Ocarina of Time has shown its age in some ways(the remake for 3DS was better and fixed much of it).

I feel like a lot of the early PS2 Insomniac and Naughty Dog games hold up very well. Jak & Dexter 1&2 and Ratchet and Clank 1,2,3. I played most of these in the last 2 years, and really felt not too difererent from modern platformer/adventure games.

It's a great feeling having to employ doctors who are "burning up with hate" just because you can't afford a good one -- certainly reminds me of the real world!

I have the PC CD-rom from years and years ago which now is pretty cheap to pick up/easy to find... Somehow I also own this on PS1 (but haven't played it there..yet..seems odd that these kind of games would be on the PS really). I would absolutely agree it is a timeless game. With some great British (Python-esque) humour...

I did not much care for Theme Park however; it seemed very restrictive compared to Rollercoaster Tycoon which came out a couple years after I got it. Now that is also a fantastic game which is TWENTY YEARS OLD next year...scary!

RCT 2 however was a dumpster fire to be avoided at all costs..it must be one of the earliest examples of all challenge being removed from a game... there were literally no challenges because everything was unlocked from the get go. I guess to appeal to a more childish audience who wanted all of the Rollercoasters with none of the "Tycoon". Whereas RCT original was, and still is, a hard-fought battle to unlock each new stage. Every few years I revisit it to polish my aesthetic design/business skills.... keep the customer happy ffs!

Doom . Still has massive player and modding community . Gameplay and level desing still holds up and various sourceports make it super easy to enjoy on modern windows

OpenRA had a prototype floating around to modernize RA2 and other games on modern machines, but officially it's only pre RA2 games

RA2 I love but doesn’t play that well on modern machines I have the bundle on EA which was just a cash grab with no real fixes

Silent Bomber on PS1. My god that game was fun- like Bomberman on speed with a storyline.

An obvious one is DOOM. Though Red Alert 2 and Homeworld are still pretty solid even today.
