We all have fond memories of video games - many that are better left untouched as to not ruin those memories. Games we loved, but just didn't age with time. I am looking for Retro Games that are worth re-visiting
Please include the platform for that game as well - Specifically looking for games on the PC, Saturn, Playstation 1 and 2, but will entertain others - If on PC let me know if it will work on a modern machine!
thank you!

I've been having a lot of fun with the Crash Bandicoot 'N Sane Trilogy on Steam, I think it was $25 but you are getting three games in one. Totally worth it if you ask me, I've already got many hours in and haven't even beat the first game yet lol It's a great looking remake too, updated graphics wise

Meme as you may, Crysis is still amazing to look at even after all these years.

Age of Empires II has aged very well; probably because the developers still update it, and the graphics got upgraded.
The gameplay is as sharp as ever.

OMG I loved that game so much back in the day, man.. good times.Originally posted by M1st3r_Luna View PostThe original Parasite Eve still holds up.
Great mix of survival horror and turn based RPG gameplay. The OST is some of Kingdom Hearts's composer, Yoko Shimumura's, best work.
The only gripe I can have for the game now is the running speed for Aya.

I would put Zelda: The Wind Waker in this, visually it still holds up

While they were controversial upon its release, The Wind Waker's cel-shaded graphics hold up quite well until this very day. Even though it was already ported to the Wii U, I would still be happy to get it again on the Switch.

That game controls like a beauty, even for today's standards, the combat controls are really smooth and are easy to grasp, unlike some older games. The N64 one controls almost just as well, which I find surprising, givens its age.Originally posted by Vfbmax View PostCustom Robo (GameCube version)

I don't see Parasite Eve come up very often these days. I loved the first game (aside from the optional tower grindfest) but never managed to get into the others.

My go to is Zombies Ate My Neighbors for SNES. It's difficult enough, fun with a friend, and the first roguelite games that I can recall.
Wish I still had my physical copy, but all my classic games were stolen a few years ago. Emulation is a beautiful thing.
Mirror's edge still looks great, especially at higher resolutions.
I still play Diablo 2 from time to time as well, mods have given that game a new life.
