I watched DigitalFoundry's take on the NES/SNES classics and while they're really good at emulating NES/SMNES games, I feel like there are some minor issues that makes me want to play on something with a more perfect emulation. One example of an issue is when you play the NES Classic on 4:3 aspect ratio, the pixels sorta bleed colours when things are moving. Some other issues include graphical glitches that shouldn't be there. The emulation is great but not perfect.

I would really like to get one of the Analogue Nts. They're out of production now however, and they sell on ebay for around $1000. It runs NES games much more true to the originals NES console.

I already have an Analogue Super Nt which runs SNES games. I played through EarthBound on it and it runs excellent.

To answer your question, favourite NES game is Super Mario Bros. 3, favourite SNES game is Zelda 3.

I feel like the classics are better than usual emulation (that I use anyway) because when I play something like, say, Dr. Mario, on the classic I do just that much better than I do when I play on my emulation box.

I have a SNES classic and I haven't played all the games on it. My favorites so far are Castlevania 4, Yoshi's world and mega man x
I'm crawling deeper and deeper into backlog hell

In my opinion, the NES and SNES Classic are something more than emulators, they are meant for those who had played those very same games on the original hardware, I have played several times The Legend of Zelda on other software, but it was when I played it on the NES Classic that I wanted, that I needed to finish it, there was something about holding that same controller, something inside me clicked and I loved every single moment of it.

You need to understand that, for me, there is something... cold about playing a console game on your desk and on another controller other than the original one, it does not feel real, siting on the floor, holding a original controller and looking at the TV, that gives me such a warmth that I do not find on my desk, I work at my desk, for hours on end there is no joy, no pleasure associated with the act of sitting on my desk (hold it, I know what you are thinking, English is not my main language, it was the best way I could find to express what I meant). I adored playing on the NES Classic, my favourite game on the NES Classic is, of course, The Legend of Zelda and, as such, the Link to The Past SNES sequel is my favorite SNES game so far.. and I did not played any other Zelda title, not a single one, oh I had the Nintendo Wii, I got bored of it the day I bought It, yeah...

I'm in the process of re-modding mine with the latest hakchi CE. Last time I did it was last October. The process wasn't nearly as user friendly as now, and it's good to see how far it's come. The stock emulator is fine, but Snes9x2010 is superior in every way, especially if you expand the library.

My favorite stock game on the system is Super Mario RPG. Such a good game. A great stock library overall, really. My favorite Snes game overall though, is probably Lufia II.

Modding the SNES Mini Classic is what makes it magic. You can put more stuff in it, test more features and, of course, enjoy playing with wireless controllers at very low latency lag (unnoticeable). The software is pretty limited, sadly, even if it blows away other mini consoles, but the hardware gives enough power to do more than just playing those 21 games. It's so simply that it's a must : hdmi plug, instant reload, save states...

Favorite stock game : Street Fighter II. I'm an arcade gamer. My favorite of all time remains Knights of the Round (ported from CPS-1 to SNES). Just a great beat 'em up.

While I have the SNES Classic, I'm planning on getting an NES Classic as well, since I never played the NES when I was little. My favorite SNES game though is definitely Super Mario RPG with Mega Man X a very close second. The first is like a gourmet meal you want to take your time appreciating, while the latter is the most deliciously bad for you fast food you just gobble down because it's that damn tasty.
I don't always play games, but when I do...I want them free of politics.

The fact that you can't hook it up to the internet and download the games you want pretty much kills it for me. Don't know what they were thinking.

Can't say I've found that to be much of an issue... I would never suggest you should download ROMs from certain websites and load them on yourself, all I'm saying is it's always worked for me.

I have original hardware, thought not all the original titles and I really like my SNES mini. It works on the 4K, its easy to use, kids and girl can play it. No fiddling with carts, no need to use the smaller CRT... It's nice. It will never replace the original hardware and software but just to play so many good games its frankly stunning.

I want to get both the NES and PS ones too but the games on those are not near and dear to my childhood so I am waiting to find them much cheaper.

I would also recommend to anyone modding with Hakchi to consider expanding the storage with the USB stick, it's extremely easy to do and the library on mine is huge now including Genesis, Nes and MAME titles.

Which brings me neatly on to the next point I was going to make, I have been playing Street Fighter 2 on MAME on tons of different platforms, including the original Xbox, PS3, PC, etc etc ... but playing Street Fighter 2 Turbo on the Retropie MAME emulator on a 60" 4k TV, full screen with scanlines using copy of the original SNES controller must be for me the ultimate experience playing this game.

This is a great comment and I completely agree, the emulator is almost perfect in terms of input delay (an issue I have with retropie) especially for games relying on fast responses like Super Mario World but with the hardware this game is on, it really is the next best thing to having the original console ... plus you have the benefit of no SCART cables, no TV switchers, Co-Axs and have HDMI support.

                      Plus no blowing in cartridges

I have a NES Classic which I've jail broke and loaded more games on to, I didn't do it to my SNES Classic as I already have a Super NT which I've jail broke instead. I bought some 8bitdo retro receivers to use with them but I haven't had the chance to test them out as I only got them this week.
