I've been collecting mostly PS1/PS2 JRPGs. Most of the time I had no money to buy said games, so now that I do have money...

Completely unrelated to gaming....but I collect fabric. Started at 12 and now I have an obscene amount of it. I do sew, but I own more fabric than I could ever hope to use. Lol
I do keep all the game systems my husband and I have owned though so we have a NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, WiiU, Switch, Original Gameboy, GBC, couple GBAs, GBA SP, DS Lite, 3DS XL, Game Gear, PS2, PS3, PS4, NES mini, and SNES mini. Most of the Nintendo stuff is mine besides the NES... my childhood NES was destroyed by mice.

I’m currently mainly collecting for the psvita, I’m at 35 psvita games at the moment but that’s taking in consideration that I bought 28 of them this year and the other 7 in 2014.
also collecting for everything I can find for cheap or that interests me. Currently at 468 games with ps2 sitting at the top spot with 112 games.
my priced possessions are a mint CIB castlevania symphony of the night (PAL) for ps1, skullgirls for psvita, CIB pokemon firered for gba and bubsy for sega genesis.

No one here mentioned Coleco Vision. I had one back in the day but sadly it's long gone.

Cnsoles and handhelds I have are GB, GBA/GBASP, Nintendo DS/3DS, Sega Mega Drive 2, Sega Saturn, SNES, NES, PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4.
I collect limited run games, from various companies, for my Vita/ PS4. Occasionally if I see a game I like for a decent price for Sega Mega Drive 2 or SNES I'll get them too.
For the other consoles I listed I collect games I have an affinity for or a nostalgia kick as some games I liked are essentially lost to time.

I totally agree that the Japanese art is usually nicer. Too bad that Super Famicom uses paper boxes and not plastic boxes like the Mega Drive... it is hard to find paper boxes which are still in good shape now.Originally posted by Nioreh View PostI collect consoles. I play mostly using flash carts. I do collect some games, mainly Super Famicom in the box. I love the Japanese boxes and the usually nicer art.

Box-preferred disc console games, such as anything Sony/PlayStation, Sega Dreamcast/Saturn, and any US-released cartridge games. Really, anything home console or handheld console related. There is quite a bit already, with limited space for them all.
Lately, it has also moved to digital games, which seem to be taking over.
