Can't blame them for using graphical mods. The game runs on a 20 year old engine, and looks like shit. Starfield and ES6 will have the same terrible graphics and crash often.Last edited by Chompy Said; 01-01-2019, 11:32 AM.

I lost account of how many games were fixed only by modders. Google why PC is the best gaming platform. You will learn that allowing modding is a major feature of games.Originally posted by isturbo1984 View PostYeah, cause every publisher allows people to freely mod and tamper with your game that runs on persistently online servers, lol. Looks like Bethesda, again, is the only publisher on the planet that can't do what literally everyone else is doing without being the bad guy. You people do know Bethesda has already stated they will be opening up specialized servers for that, right? If you did, would it make a difference? Something tells me I doubt it.

I imagine that women studied programing just because it makes money, and got work at Bethesda because of feminist mandated women quotas.
I imagine that, because Fallout 76 is what a person which doesn't play games must imagine that a game is. They ask themselves "why would anybody do such a boring thing. Just shooting at random stuff spawning randomly and doing boring things"... So, just to be paid, they just do the boring thing that they have prejudices against.
... and that's why they do the nagging on "bad boys misbehaving". "Write an essay to demonstrate that you learned that you are a bad boy".

>the vicious shit cycle
Just what a way to end the year by throwing away a good 60$ on trash just to get banned

The question is, who the heck would want to cheat at Fallout 76, that's like saying you're trying to cheat at playing with turds.

As for online games not allowing modding, I can only speak from experience with games I have personally played. World of Warcraft has addons. You can mod your hotbar and even setup macros for certain things. Or at least years ago they allowed that.
Since you did mention "persistently online servers", then you may not be counting games such as Conan, Ark, 7 Days to Die.... As far as I am aware, they all allow mods. There may be certain servers that don't, I'm not sure. But it would be stated as such. They don't just start banning players, then say it's because they are cheating when they are not.

This wouldn't be as big of an issue if Bethesda had come out and said, "Hey, we are trying to cut down on cheaters in-game and for right now we need to block ALL mods. This is a heads up and if you guys are still using mods after a few days, then we will have to temp ban you. Thanks for understanding."
Instead, they just start banning with no warning. Then to really spit in the banned players' faces, they say, "Oh, hey. We will let you back in, but you have to write us an essay on why your cheating is harming everyone on the server." A texture, music, or graphics mod is not cheating. These are not anywhere close to being the same as using something like a lockpick mod in Oblivion or Fallout 4.
Now it could maybe be argued that this is all just a big misunderstanding and that they didn't mean to essentially accuse all modders of being cheaters. They definitely haven't handled anything they've done since launch (or Beta) very well. However, with the greediness shown by them in the Atomic Shop, it seems they are just trying to get the free competition out of the way.

This is the pinnacle of human hubris. This is how wars start. I expect armor clad bethesda fans to raid the company screaming things like "halt criminal scum" as they take Todd Howard away in shackles.

yeah, and like i said, this policy against modding and cheating on online servers is present with every online game with every publisher and independent developer. so your entire wall is kinda moot. i understand the history of Bethesda's games. that doesnt make this not an online game. you and others are just trying to slam Bethesda for doing something that is kosher. i mean, your entire post sounded like "but... but..."
