We should strive to include death at launch and midterm fails as well.Originally posted by Dodge Chance View PostI think most gamers can actually handle some pretty bad treatment, I think we have seen that with the insane levels of loyalty many players have shown to subpar games, which is why I actually didn't choose rushed updates, recurring subscription, or dumbing down. I think the political agenda and public relations are the best ways to kill a game right out of the gate, but If you're talking about mid to longterm then my opinion might change.
Do you know the tragedy of Movie Battles 2? It's a modification for Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. So one day the Development Team of this project decided they are going full family friendly, no offensive jokes they banned half community, deleted Funny Pictures thread and only continued ostracizing their loyal players and this way the game that's over 10 years old has succumbed to endless drama between players and the developers. Developers continue calling their players "toxic", "women harassers", "trolls" and the player count is only shrinking. Inability to admit to your own mistakes should be one of the choices in this survey imo. This is sad game is great Developers are kinda brainless dicks.
