Left wing politics and propaganda also affects video gaming too, so does that mean we're going to start posting articles about that as well?
Just because something in the world affects gaming or gamers, doesn't mean that we can just post any old shit here in the forum. The code of conduct is there for a reason.

This might be a really good time for a mod to chime in on where this is in relation to the code of conduct. Maybe?

The guy already posted why I'm not going to repeat what he said.

Can you explain how this topic 'has affected video games' ?
-
Can't escape when the real world has affected video games too, so I haven't seen the line has been crossed here

k4far you're way out of line here.
From the code of conduct:
No Political/Religious/Gender/Sexuality Discussions - While purely political topics are banned, discussions on a game's content that has political elements (E.g. Metal Gear's anti-war/weapons trade stance, Elves being an oppressed race in Dragon Age) are permitted. However, this is not to be used as a platform to purely express your political view. The same applies to sexuality, gender and religious topics.
This IS a purely political topic. It has nothing to with games or gaming in general. Just because you say it might affect gaming, does not make it a gaming related issue. There are plenty of things which happen in the world which might affect gaming, but it doesn't make them gaming related issues. Heck, if it rains tomorrow that might affect my gaming...sheesh.While purely political topics are banned, discussions on a game's content that has political elements are permitted.
And that is exactly what you're doing here. However, this is not to be used as a platform to purely express your political view.
You want to talk politics? Please go and do it in a more relevant forum. I came here to get away from real world politics, as I'm sure most of us did.

At some point somebody will sue Google for links to his website and his copyrighted stuff on youtube, then google will meet him and say:
"Ok, now we need an agreement to make links to your website legal. This is how much you will PAY to be linked by Google and having your content on Youtube"
If you are not linked to by google, you don't exist. If youtubers don't use your content , you don't exist.

This is the short list of what the updated Article 11 and 13 does.- Tech giants must pay for work of artists and journalists which they use
- Small and micro platforms excluded from directive’s scope
- Hyperlinks, “accompanied by “individual words” can be shared freely
- Journalists must get a share of any copyright-related remuneration obtained by their publishing house
The actual legislation can be found here: LINKY

If you are not willing to comment on the directive or things from this thread why bother saying vogue things like "piracy not cool". It's not a contribution towards the topic.
-
What? I'm just saying piracy is not cool. Nothing about article 13.
-
If you follow the tales of Article 13 and the reason behind it it's not serving creators like the guy making music you like but company milking him no additional money will go to the dude you are a fan of *flies away*.
-
>Aidy is against piracy and is for article 13
this is one spicy meatball

Is that an anime avatar? ObviouslyOriginally posted by Animusisters View PostThis is obviously a primarely political issue, since not only games are affected.

Sorry I had to. But you know, we are not discussing EU's hidden agenda but effects on video game industry, reviewers, youtubers, let'splayers etc.
