I'll wait til there's plenty of non-shill and non-fanboy reviews before I even consider buying it used. My money is on them mucking it up.

This will not end well. I will likely still play it, but this might be the first ES game I wait for a sale to buy.

If I am a fan of a series, I will gladly pay full price to buy the game on release. Bethesda, however, has lost my good will - many companies have in recent years - so now I am much more cautious. I bought AC Odyssey, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, last quarter 2018 - at full price - and feel they earned that money (mostly, Tomb Raider was actually too short and rushed at the end, but I liked what we got). I will not, however, buy anything from EA, Bethesda, or Activision/Blizzard, without a solid review from people I trust.

That's my policy on buying any game. Wait for the reviews, and, if they are good, wait until it goes on sale for 70%. :P

    Twice a day at least.

*facepalm* This is PATCHER who is the analyst. The guy who doesn't know a damn thing about video games. He's been the laughing stock for his ridiculous "predictions." I guess a broken clock can be right once in a while.

I highly doubt it. That's just one analyst's opinion on how they need to make up for Fallout 76. Other analysts say that 76 won't hinder their release schedule. I mean, why would it? Bethesda has a small battlechest to fall back on.

It'd be terrible but unsurprising, at this point

I did that with Skyrim and I can't complain about it.
Skyrim was the last game I pre ordered but since then I've had my mind opened to the reality of the gaming industry.
All games I play now I leave for a few months to see what happens, I don't trust main stream reviewers but I tend to read and watch several reviews before I buy anything.
I'm not poor I just don't like wasting things like food and money, especially food.

If it's released this year, it will be an awful disappointment. If it's released in 2020, I'd guess it would still be a disappointment. 2021 at the earliest if it's not going to completely suck, and even then, Bethesda in general doesn't fill me with a whole lot of confidence.

Eh. It's a real prediction made by a real person.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'll probably be at the counter paying for it the first day it's out. I've been waiting almost a decade for the next "real" title in my favorite series lol. Besides, I've never had a problem with being a "beta tester." I buy brand new things in other hobbies of mine to test them out myself... and often come up disappointed XD

I would almost bet the game is not release in 2019, not even 2020

I hope it doesn't come out for a couple years, so they can make it good without the need for mods.

But my expectations are low now, Bethesda has destroyed all my good will towards them.
Working...
