The YouTubers seem to all acknowledge each other when its necessary, Laymen is probably the best at this of the channels I watch.

If you want to make a plagiarization accusation, you need to come better equipped with quotes and upload times, and even then, the 'evidence' is highly suspect, as we can't know when these youtubers shot the original content, how long it took to edit, how long it took to upload, and what time they decided to upload. "I have a feeling this is happening, so I'm going to go talk about it without doing my homework." is the mantra of the SJW.

Most of these YouTubers are going off the same news articles, and Yong seems to me to be the most fact-based and his opinions are rather low resolution, so I can easily see how it may appear he's regurgitating others. And that's not to say regurgitating others is a bad thing. We watch YouTubers because we don't want to spend that much time reading news articles, there is another level to that, where people watch those that trim the news down even further. Yong is one of the bigger mass-appeal commentators, so he's probably picking stories that have the most traction.

With the plagiarization in comedy drama, everyone was crying about some pretty low-resolution jokes with very little depth. Some things are copied intentionally, some "original thoughts" are based on things you forgot the specifics of but heard in the past, and sometimes two people can come to the same idea independently.

Plagiarization is a serious accusation, and not something to be thrown around as lightly as people seem comfortable with. It's one of those things that can get quickly blown out of proportion and spread like wildfire before any real proof can be delivered.

If you overly curate your own content intake, don't be surprised when you start hearing echoes. I only subscribe to a few commentators, the rest I pick up in my suggestions feed.

I aren't sure about heel, he covers a lot of other content, but I'm pretty sure YongYea and LamonGamon are mates, they have shouted each other out in the past, as well as cross referencing each other's videos on twitter.

I think this is just a similar base of content, I mean the same could be said for some of the content on The Quartering, PGG, CleanPrince etc, the subjects lend themselves to a particular style of coverage which these content creators all cover in their own way.

I wouldn't call a confluence of style plagiarism, I mean Yong tends to go over the facts and rage at EA/Activision and exhort the brilliance of CDProjekt and Kojima.
GaymenLaming performs skits taking the piss out of EA/Activision and bows down to CDProjekt and Warframe
Heel is just a treat and I love him.
Jeremy covers these things, offers constructive criticism and has a beard
Cleanprince doesn't just report, he murders.

I don't know man, I enjoy all their content (except PGG, they are kinda annoying) and will generally go to different ones depending on my mood

cha the boosted Yep, it could be me. I didn't know about the memes but where there is smoke there is fire... That kind of solve the issue, if people made memes about this exact topic then it fair to assume that people who care more than me are "monitoring" that.

fenrif Well, everybody cared when it was the guy from IGN... So I assumed some people would care...

Who cares? Don't watch him if you don't want to watch him. It's not like a killed a guy or stole something. No one owns the news, or opinions on the news, or the order the news is delievered.

Tbh it could just be you. there are memes about how laymen brothers are copying Yong Yea and the reverse but for now it's just memes. Do you mind linking the videos so I can compare? O.o

Maybe they are sharing info with each other? Or maybe using same writing/talking points. When I do my videos I use several sites and link them all in description while still trying to do my own thing idk if Yong or anyone does (cuz I don't check descriptions lol)
