Cyberpunk 2077 - Excited or Meh?

Truthfully, I've stopped being excited for video games for a few years now. I'm not excited for Cyberpunk, but I'm not apathetic. I am quietly waiting, that's all. I think it will be a very good game, just as when I saw the God of War 2018 gameplay I knew it would be a good game.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this game. There is so much potential for it to be a wonderful, beautiful game but things could go horribly, horribly wrong. I'll buy it when it comes out but not pre-order. Things that made me interested in it weren't just the setting and customizing of the characters, but the mechanics of things like being able to pull someone's head underwater and use the water as a silencer of sorts, and the segment immediately thereafter where the protagonists were having to take cover from the bullets coming out from behind the wall. If things like that are in the final build, count me in. I really hope this game let's you do lots of different things like the original Deus Ex did.

Seeing CDPR's track record, I have faith that this would be a great game. sci-fi is also my favorite theme, so that makes me more excited. My hype has died down though mainly due to the amount of time that has passed, but I'm sure it'll go back up as we get closer to release

Excited as long as it's not an exclusive to GOG(owned by CD Project Red) or Epic Store(who might try to claim it before it's released on Steam) , but i guess the game will be so good I'd put up with a launcher. As long as the launcher is not as bad as Ubisofts. I'm confident it will be a great game though and quality tested before launch.

Witcher 3 as a track record for CDPR gives me a lot of confidence that the game will end up being very enjoyable. The demo we saw of their effort to make the city feel like it's a living breathing place caught my attention, and the attention to detail looked good for a demo. I'm rooting for this to succeed, and I think they're going to pull it off.

I'm incredibly excited. I love the theme of the game, the features showed in the video looks very interesting to me and last but not least; the company behind it has a great track record.
Regarding your problems with FPS, are you sure you're not having input lag / FPS issues?

I am really looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. The forced 1st person view is not ideal but it might surprise me. there is always something wrong with a game, none are flawless. If Cyberpunks world, its graphics, gameplay and story turn out to be amazing then (for me) it will make up for its first person view. Games like Dragon Age: Origins was a game that had an amazing story and characters but lacked in almost every other way but is still one of my favorite games of all times.

What'll make or break it for me is the upgrade system. Deus Ex's talent trees felt pretty hollow which contributed to me not enjoying it as much. The talents were either *too* necessary or did very little. Also the story is important to me. I guess I'd be happy if they were able to match or exceed Shadowrun: Dragonfall in terms of story.

Personally I can't help but judge CDPR by the last entry to the Witcher series — quality expectations are there and they are even higher than those for the Battlefield or The Elder Scrolls franchises. A ticket to the hype train is in place, too. I only hope that them devs won't get too far into the Wokeland and kill off the potential this game holds.
Also, the FPS take they made here is nothing if not a terrible decision.

I don't mind FP games so that's not much of a problem for me. I play most of Bethe$da games in FP.
I really enjoyed the Shadow Run series and the aesthetic kinda gives me the same feels.
CDPR has done well in the past and their views on their consumers are great.
I am very excited about the game.

The most hype! I really hope they can keep it close to the early footage we've seen, but I do expect some downgrades thanks to having to make it run on base PS4 and Xbox One hardware.
I really think Cyberpunk is shaping up to be an incredible experience.

I've been playing Cyberpunk 2020 and Shadowrun tabletops for years and I love the Games CDPR makes, I don't think i could be more hyped.

Agree with you on Andromeda. However, Project Red is a safe bet. If this game was made by anyone else I'd be skeptical (a bit of an exaggeration but I'm going with it anyway).Originally posted by GhostGalaxy View PostNeed to watch how it goes, did a mistake buying Andromeda in hopes that it will turnout okay.
