Oh well, I didn't order collectors edition of Kingdom hearts either, the content in that box just... Wasn't that good.

You get a pin, a steelbook case and a artbook....
If I got it in gamestop I could have gotten a Sora figure that looks like the toy version of him in "Toy story."

.... I mean. Come on, Art book is nice! I like nice art books.
You can do better though, what about the soundtrack? I like the kingdom hearts soundtracks, I wouldn't say no to a CD, or something cooler in merch like a steel keyblade or a delux figure of the team? A delux figure of Mickey?
Well, they are probably going to release all this stuff later as separate Merch, Square Enix does like to sell Merch... Who doesn't?

My favorite place of KH merch i've ever seen is still this keyblade conductors baton. I just... That is so circumstantial! How many kingdom hearts fans on this planet is going to conduct an orchestre?! ... I want one.
Thats the limited edition, not the collector edition.
The collector edition brings figures of Sora, Goofey and Donald, some other stuff, but is exclusive to Square Enix store

Oh you mean the "Grade" system.

Yeah, that is actually a common thing ALL Tales Games has, you accumulate grades throughout the game depending on how well you do in battle, and then you can spend those grades in new game plus how-ever you like.

It is an interesting system because it limits you in how well you will be of in the new game, also it allows you to customize what you want to carry over. Nearly all tales games has that.

Well, even though you only played ones Tales game, i am glad your experience of it is that good

That is the issue when these games are spread across several different platforms, they are not always that easy to find.

Again Tales of the Abyss is actually my favorite, originally released for the PS2, later had a re-release on the 3DS, which is the version I own. It's just... a really amazing story.
The cast of characters are really strong to and the main character... I guess he is a bit of an acquired taste. He starts of the game by being kind of an ass... He is... Very snooty lol.
But I think the game manages to make it really funny, and you also do kind of get why he acts that way. Eventually you do get fed up with it, but that is on the same time the other characters are to, so it fits together, and he is FORCED to confront his short comings and even goes through a complete mental break down which brings a lot of character growth, he legit changes as a person and it feels very natural.

Again that is what these games has, interesting characters in the main party. The main characters are usually also very different from each other.
As I told, the main character in the Abyss is very snooty and very spoiled. In comparison the main character in "Tales of Symphonia." which came right before that is very much a country pumpkin... He's sweet but a bit of an idiot, in a good way. He... thinks with his heart rather than his head XD

Tales of Berseria the newest game is pretty damn interesting because you are basically playing as the bad guys! Velvet herself is actually a demon whose sole motivation is revenge on the man whom brought peace to the world. That also makes the group very funny because they are a bunch of rouges essentially, they are all in it for themselves.

Sorry, rambling... I don't get to talk about these games very often XD

Vesperia is the only "Tales" games I've played, I got it for the 360. Was a good game as far as I remember, never quite mastered some of the combat mechanics, and it took me a while to fully embrace some of the other mechanics such as the cooking one. I was about half way through before I realised how important it was and that you should be cooking at every opportunity. It had good replay value too, in fact I think it's the only RPG I played twice back to back. There are some dungeons you can only unlock on New Game+ and depending on how well you did in the game you had the option to carry some stats across so you can replay the game from the start with the same combat power you had at the end of the previous game....really makes the first half of the game fly by when you one-hit everything
