I recently have put 46 hrs into persona 5 and not quite half way. Loving it so far.
A xbox 360 rpg "lost odyssey". I usually get a little bored of the story of longer rpg's around 3/4 of the way. Lost Odyssey kept my interest all the way through. It actually has sections of tough battles and sometimes lacking save points around difficult sections.
Of course hundreds of hours into World of Warcraft (most during WotLK era).
Cannot believe i forgot to mention Tales of Graces and Tales of Xillia

Yeah I'm fearing NISA getting their hands on it too.

Yeah Mass Effect 3 was emotional for me as well, especially as there was a time a year or so before release when I didn't think I'd live to see it.

Mordin, Miranda, Tali, Thane death scenes were harsh.... But made the game even more powerful.

Also ME2 and ME3 are the best 2 opening scenes to games ever imo.

I jumped in to the Persona series with Persona 5, such an amazing game. I have the rest of the series in my backlog now. My FC mate in FFXIV doesn't stop talking about Xenoblade Chronicles though so I can understand why you hold it in such high regard, he's a stickler for JRPG's. Lol.

Bioware really outdid their self with Mass Effect. Never has a game played with my emotions nearly as much as ME3.

I've heard wonderful things about the Xenosaga...saga. XD They're on my "to play" list. Morrowind was high up on my list but it got beaten because it doesn't quite hold up from a technical standpoint nowadays, well compared to non-Bethesda releases anyway.

KOTOR and KOTOR II are right up there in my list as well. I haven't yet played any of the DS games, not really a fan of the combat system so it really turned me away from it. Though New Vegas was great too! Easily the best "Bethesda" release for the Fallout series.

Eternal Sonata was a very beautiful game all around and a great choice!

I've been dying to get my hands on the Azure arc. I want to do the English translation patch but it feels wrong so I'm praying for an official release after CSIII and IV get their English translations. From what I've played of III, even though I couldn't really understand what was happening I think it stands a great chance at being one of the best in the series and from what I've seen from IV, it only improves on it. They really went all out with the new engine and hardware and it really shows. Hopefully Xseed continues the series too for the English release. I'll be disappointed if we get the Ys VIII treatment by NISA.

I feel ya' OP. I played Trails of Cold Steel and the sequel a few years back on my Vita and was blown away.

My favorite however is the prequel arc. Trails of Zero and Trails of Azure. I think it's better than the previous Sky arc and the current two Steel games.

My wish however is that Cold Steel 3 and 4 will top Zero and Azure. I'd be real disappointed if they didn't honestly.

Don't think they qualify as RPG, but good games

Hey do remember Resident Evil 4? It first came on the game cube and I love it. Also smash bro Miele was also some of my favorite games on the Nintendo game cube.

Summoner, Nox, Diablo 2: Underworld (half-assed pirate rip of Diablo 2 with ultra fast leveling and lotsa mobs from planescape torment and baldur's gate), Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity are some of them.

Love Nox more than others - ability to summon any mob from the game, complex magics, gloomy atmosphere of the dungeons... I wanna replay it right now!
