Sorry for having this video out so late on the platform. I had a busy morning with the Alzheimer’s society with a new support group initiative, because of my mom.

And then I thought I needed to go over to my mom’s to remove things out of her cupboards so she can get new cupboards tomorrow, but that isn’t happening until much later this month!!!!!! YAY! Always check the details and work hard.

So, here’s the new lesson - Blender Tutorial 5 - Let’s Get Real With Our Planets - S2L16.

We cover how to use textures and materials to make our planets look amazing, everything from Venus, to Jupiter to our planet!

Sorry for this being out so late. I had some issues with what I was using to record my screen and iMovie, but I found a work around.

      New Lesson - Codea Lesson 1 - Welcome to Codea - S2L17

Codea is a decent programming and game development program. Despite the few people who have downloaded it, a few games have been published on iOS App Store using this app.

Today, we download it, tour the basic features, and create our first project using it - to create a cutscene - which I will do in 3 parts - part one creating the environment and characters, part two animating the characters we bring in, and part three adding in sprites to add the dialogue going along with the characters.

New Lesson - Principles of Animation 6 - Easing in and Easing out - S2L18

This lesson focuses on how to animate an action properly, with the initial part and ending part of the animation being slower than the middle parts. In reality, when we initiate a movement we slowly build up speed, and when we terminate the action, we slow down as well. Slow and steady wins the race, as they say.

Sorry, BitChute hasn’t been working, and I should have done this hours ago.

In this lesson, I show how to model some asteroids quickly, and use particle systems to spread them all around the solar system.

New Lesson - Codea Lesson 2 - Let’s Animate Our Turd Throwing Monkeys - S2L20

In this tutorial, I go through how to animate in Codea, while using variables and if and then statements to animate things one step at a time, like in a cutscene.

New Lesson - Principles of Animation - Arcs

Today’s lesson we discuss why everything moves in an arc and to be mindful of that when we are animating. From the Hulk Smashing Loki, to Trollette running, we all bob up and down, so we all move in arcs.
