Cyberpunk looks really promising, same goes for Anthem though I fear that's gonna go down similar to Destiny, and I don't particularly trust EA for how they implemented Microtransactions.
Did I miss an announcement? Is there gonna be another expansion for Prey? Or a completely new game?

Although I am more excited about the future of VR currently than any games that are coming out. Although pretty limited currently I am excited for what the future has coming for VR titles such as VR Kanojo show the crazy potential for really cool role playing games with life like npcs, although pretty welll impossible due to the work now who knows what the future has to bring .

Well Cyberpunk, of course, though I don't expect we'll see that until 2020. For this coming year:

"Biomutant" - a post apocalyptic, furry, adventure rpg.

"Desperados 3" - a tactical stealth western.

"The Last Night" - a moody, cyberpunk platformer.

"Disco Elysium" - an isometric cop story with a complex and interesting rpg system which treats the different parts of your personality as party members.

"Afterparty" - a character-driven adventure game about two kids trying to outdrink the devil, from the imaginative creators of Oxenfree (also a great game).

All of which are scheduled to be released on Steam this year.

There's a few others, but they're mostly on the wait and see approach because they might look good on paper (and trailers I suppose), but then when it releases it turns out to be mediocre or a dumpster fire. Those three at least all have promise to me. Though I wouldn't be surprised if I get burned by any of them given how this generation of games has gone XD
