    Most Disappointing Games of 2018

What are some of your picks for the most disappointing games of 2018? Sadly, there were a lot of games that didn't meet expectations for me. Among them would be the following:

    Ni No Kuni II
Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise
    Final Fantasy Dissidia NT
    Sea of Thieves

    Did I miss any?

You'd think, at this point, they'd be bending over backwards to try to please their fans and try to avoid anymore screw ups. The last thing their PR needs is any more hits. They're really giving Obsidian a huge edge here.

It's odd, they're in so much of a self-destructive streak that if they were a person I'd be concerned about their mental health.

While I wasn't into Fallout 76's departure from the usual style, I was expecting it to at least be somewhat competently made. Bethesda has been disappointment after disappointment ever since that game launched.

Spiderman's open world design is amateurish in comparison to RDR2. Complain about the latter's ending all you want, its open world is leagues ahead regardless.
Wow toxic much? Spider-Man is an open world because if it were linear, it would defeat the purpose of Spider-Man. It's not meant to be this amazing open world experience that redefines what open world means, it's open because Spider-man is known for going around the entire city and saving it from both minor and major problems. Without the ability to simulate that, the entire game would have been bad in everyone's eyes. The game isn't bad because you have missed that point though. There has to be a better reason than that.

    Shadow of the Tomb Raider
    and Pokemon Lets Go
other than that I think this was a good year for gaming as a whole.

Battletech. Harebrained Schemes did such an amazing job with Shadowrun. When they announced that they were doing a Battletech game years ago, I was stoked; pre-ordered and everything. What we got was an unoptimised game which burned out CPUs, poor story, a mess of RNG and hamfisted politics. Plus the pronoun thing was just a glaring issue from the get go.

I assume you have a regular PS4 instead of the Pro?

I've heard the game runs fine on the original model.. likewise there are several other games I've heard have similar problems only on the Pro.

In all honesty I'd have rather had the original Ps4 myself but while I was waiting to justify getting one my wife went and bought a heavily discounted Pro so she could play Spyro on release.

    Spider Man.
Take out the combat and the web swinging and that game is boring, dull and repetitive as fuck. Really disappointing.

    Blackops 4

I play CoD for the story mode first and then do multiplayer. the lack of a story in this was an instant no buy for me

It's the only game me and my wife regret buying this year and we stopped playing it days after we got it to wait for the PC release.
Must have been bad luck on your end somehow, because I have the PS4 game as well and got through all three of them no problem. I even got the plats on all three of them (and no, that's not saying much, it's not remotely hard) but I never had any issues with it, and I don't even have a pro.
