    Looking for purchase help

On the hunt for a new game. Decided I want a good single player action game, and of ones I haven't played, narrowed it down to...

    - Shadow of the Tomb Raider
    - Assassin's Creed Odyssey
    - Hitman 2
    - Just Cause 4

Looking for opinions on which you'd all recommend based on plannin one or more of them.

Have they moved on from the following missions? That's what kills the series for me.

Haven't played any of the ones you listed, though I have played the previous two iterations of Tomb Raider. I'd say get that.

If you're looking for another suggestion for an action game... Take a look at PREY if explorey type games with action is your thing.

Not a huge AC fan, but Odyssey was great , Only thing stopping me from playing is freeroam in Red Dead Redemption 2

I would also recommend AC Odyssey. It feels more like an action rpg with AC loosely added into the game but that's why i enjoyed it for the change of pace.

Haven't had a chance to play those just yet. But if you want a few other options I could make some recommendations. Not sure if you just want fast-paced action or if you're open to other genres. But here's a few. Do with them what you will. These aren't super new, but that just means you can probably get them on sale.

    * Alan Wake (Fun horror type game that makes hefty use of light as a weapon)
    * XCOM Enemy Unknown & XCOM 2 (These are great fun if you like turn-based action strategy games)
    * BioShock, BioShock 2, & BioShock Infinite - Action games with a horror storyline. Good for fans of System Shock
    * Mass Effect Trilogy - Action RPG sci fi series with one of the best stories out there (there was a fumble or two but great series)
    * Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - Fun action RPG that also showed how you do a dragon fight right..
    * Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor & Shadow of War - I enjoy both these action RPGs mainly for its unique Nemesis system, which makes the game quite fun. The orcs remember you and how your encounters went.
    * FEAR - If you want an action-based horror story shooter, this one is for you. There are I believe 3 games in the series, but I enjoyed the first the most.

Get Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, especially if you are at all into ancient Greek culture or mythology. The ancient Greek world is beautiful to explore and the gameplay is addictive too. The game is LOADED with different gameplay mechanics; plus the story is excellent too. I have also heard there is over 100 hours of gameplay to be had here, which makes sense with how much there is to do in the game. I am at 20 hours at the moment and I am enjoying every bit of it.

Edit: By the way, the game is on sale this week over at Best Buy. I think they are selling it for $30 dollars or $23 dollars if you have a GCU membership.
