My top 3 would definitely be Franck Klepacki (hell's match is an absolute masterpiece and I love the C&C games), Mick Gordon (love Doom's and Wolfenstein the new order's soundtrack) and Darren Korb for his work on both Bastion's and Transistor's soundtrack

So many memories reading thru this thread... but when I think of video game music, 3 games pop into my head:

      Final Fantasy 8:

      Devil May Cry 3:

And the first game that had me playing tracks on a loop (specifically this track), C&C Red Alert:

Final Fantasy 7 Nobou Utemasu, specifically The Black Mages albums he did.

                Also,

                Final Fantasy Tactics

Both are stellar soundtrack I still listen to today.

Dynasty Warriors as a series also has some REALLY good soundtracks.

I don't really follow track names or many composers, though I've listened to a lot of Uematsu (?). So I'll just name games with soundtracks I like a lot.

                  The Last of Us
                  Mass Effect series
Final Fantasy series, 7 in particular
                  Elder Scrolls series (Jeremy... Soule??)
                  Battlefield 4 and (mostly) 1

The Lunar series has my favorite OST, however Uematsu is still my favorite composer.

Jeremy Soule is my favorite. I listen to his tracks while I'm reading sometimes, especially when people are being noisy.

Nobuo Uematsu is one of the greatest composers that transcended the timeline of video games from the early days of midi to now. His work on Final Fantasy XIV was really amazing and even though FF7 was my personal Favorite the music he composed in FF8 was some of his best.

I'm not sure if I have a favorite by any means, but, the soundtracks for Persona 5, Bastion, and Contrast rank among the top of ones I enjoy.
