Hey Guys, happy new year.
I wrote this and would have been the fourth or fifth poster on this thread but got frustrated as the Forum was in beta and it wouldn't let me post links all of a sudden. I saved the post for later when the forum was more stable.
The OP has good taste.
BTW, the official extended Dragon Age Inquisition theme is linked here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Yo5fbceJVM not sure if you have heard this before? It doesn't seem to be on the OST so I'm not sure where it came from.
I also LOVE the Lindsey Stirling version and the video, when I found that it made my day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuJnvC8voJY
Dragon Age: Origins had some amazing music at times, especially the main theme and the basecamp music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXNvDzlXqSA
I think Jeremy Soule's Skyrim is probably the most consistently excellent soundtrack I've heard on any game, and there is a lot of music in there.
The Uncharted theme is fantastic and those games have pretty great music too.
I thought Witcher 3 had a great soundtrack but it gets very repetitive, I would prefer they did a Skyrim on future games with more ambient stuff to break it up, but what was there was beautiful, especially Kaer Morhen and Skellige. Malukah's version of Priscilla's Song is a thing of beauty too.

I also thought some of the music in Horizon Zero Dawn was extremely good. I have to say, the "investigating the past" story in that game was the best part about it, and this music really sums up the sadness and emotion of the journey Aloy goes on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChXUiSwW4-4
In terms of old games, my favorite is the music from Monkey Island I and II, brings back memories! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Onie...23A85E8EF616ED
I'm also a musician and have been meaning to do a drum and bass mix based on Metal Gear Solid 5 music and samples for ages. I should really get onto that....

In spite of all the recent Bethesda hate, I'm a fan of Fallout and TES's Inon Zur and Jeremy Soule."You can take the politics out of the forums, but you can't take the snowflakes out of the internet "

I see a lot of my favourite composers already in this thread, Martin O’Donnel, Uematsu, Michiru Yamane and Graham Norgate are some of my favourites too.
Just a couple up-tempo songs underneath.

The soundtrack for the first two Golden Sun games. It's amazing what the composer(s) for those games were able to do with SNES-equivalent sound files. I felt that music in my soul when I played those games. To this day, I can still remember what the music sounded like in almost every area. It was that memorable. Here are a few examples:

There are a heck of a lot of good ones. But if I had to pick a favorite OST it would be between two games. Sonic Unleashed. And Sonic and the Black Knight. Black Knight in particular has a very underrated OST.
