Gold and Silver are actually my favs. Really thought the remakes on ds did em justice too. Always liked the idea of traveling the various regions between games.

least would be pokemon go if that counts as the mobile game. Haven't played lets go.

Well, Pokemon Yellow (NES) is quite bad, but that's more due to the technical limitations of the console. But really, there isn't any bad Pokémon game I am aware of.

Gold and Silver were alright for me. The inclusion of Kanto felt a bit tacked on to me but it was pretty nifty for the time. As far as my least favorites go, it's been a while since I played them, but I wasn't a fan of Diamond and Pearl. Nothing really clicked with me from that generation. Other than that I would agree that the ultra versions of sun and moon weren't very inspired. If they had been the only versions of those games it might have been fine but I don't think there was any real reason for having them save to make Nintendo and Gamefreak a little more money.

I know that Let's Go has been kind of divisive to the fan base but so far I'm cautiously okay with it. I do like a lot of the changes they made and I can't see how they will ever go back to random battles after having them pop up on screen for you but I do wish the game was harder. Obviously they were trying to attract a different audience with these titles and I'm okay with it as long as it stays it's own separate series (sometimes a nice chill experience is a good thing) but I do think they need to get back to a lot of the core gameplay for the next set of games.

Generation 2 and 5 were the best.
          Generation 7 was the worst.

The lack of Pokenav and the change to the battle house are very strange, but I guess none of those other things ever bothered me much. I spent hours having fun with Voltorb Flip, lol, and I never bothered re-challenging the gym leaders, so I can't empathize with that frustration. I also don't remember having to do much grinding, but maybe I should replay it to see if that's the case.

I think one of the things that keeps me coming back to Gen 2 is the music...it's my favorite in the series. <3 Also, it's special to me because it's the only gen (to the best of my knowledge) that let's you visit more than one region. I wish the other games did that. It really felt like a proper sequel to the Kanto games since it let you see how things there had changed and how the trainers there had grown once you did the Johto quest. Also, HG/SS were the first Pokemon games to let your pokemon follow you around, I think. I was disappointed when Gen 5 removed that feature.

Pokémon Yellow for the GameBoy had that feature, but only for Pikachu.
