I'm not sure if I remember if that was fixed between Warframe's launch and PS4 launch, but it sounds similar to when I started playing Paladins, where you used lootbox rolls to see if you got ability cards to maximise your playstyle (although these basically flooded in to be honest so it wasn't super horrible). They eventually just unlocked every upgrade, like they did the Warframe abilities.

I've played it on and off since it was first announced in 2014 (I think?) and hated it but started playing on PS4 a few years ago and have played it on and off since. I'm currently stalled out on Ceres though.

I've played it on and off since it was more or less advertised as the premier F2P on the PS4 at launch. It was reeeeeeeally rough back then. what with a preload sequence literally showing a file directory instead of a nice loading screen. I'm actually happy to see a game upgrade the way Warframe has, because the enhancements more or less make the microtransactions feel almost non-existent which is hard to say about the average full price game. I still think the foundry times are ridiculous and make me want to have thousands of platinum available, but other than that I really like playing it when I feel like it.

It used to be WAAAAAAY worse. Back in the day when it first came out in 2013, there are mechanics that were in place that would make any modern Tenno shudder. You had to equip your Warframes moves in mod slots if you wanted to use them. There goes half your build if you wanted all 4 abilities. XD

I'm taking a break from Warframe right now, but it's a fun game. I'll wait to see how they implement Archwing guns in the new open world area. I already have a maxed out Imperator Vandal and Fluctus. I just hope that the new boss content is not another sniperfest like the Eidolons are.

I know exactly what you mean. Everybody loads up their Lanka and Rubico Prime rivens and if you don't have one, you're not going to get to do much besides damage shields and revive people. I've been reading around and apparently some people are having trouble hitting the Profit Taker with the Fluctus. Something about collision issues. We'll have to see how long it takes to patch.
