I've been gaming for 25 years. since I was 3.

      1. C&C Tiberian sun. Played that game for over a decade and spent countless hours modding.
      2. Doom 2. Was the first pc game I played and for some reason was enamored with demons as a four year old.
      3. Skyrim. Don't think I've ever invested that much time into a game.
      4. Insurgency. Still to this day, imo the best tactical fps. Underrated as fuck.
      5. GTA Vice City. Just for the soundtrack alone. I still have those radio channels cued up when I want to listen to some good tunes. Not to mention playing as Tommy Vercetti in that world blew my little 1 year old nips off.
Have you ever thought about registering as a sex offender just so your friends won't bring their kids over to your house?

Did I already post in this thread or is there another thread almost like this one? Anyhoo.. Probably started in 1980 or 38 years ago. Since I started back in the arcade era I might as well throw an arcade game in here.. Very difficult to choose:
        - Galaga
        - Elder Scrolls (let's say Morrowind)
        - Civilisation (let's say II)
        - Sims (let's say SimCity 2000)
        - Ultima (let's say Ultima Underworld)

Been gaming since I was 5. Mostly DOS games.

I do not really have a top 5 but these games have made the biggest impression on me:

Holiday Island: a holiday park sim that had nice music that I played for years until windows stopped running it propperly. RIP this game since I dont have the know how to virtual computer it.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 1&3: same again. Fun&depth that lasted for years. 2 was a big dosapppintment with expansions that basically offered nothing but reskinned rides.

SimCity4. I played all simcities before this one but when 4 came out and I found the Rush Hour expansion by chance, my love for this game soared! I just loved making towns and cities. Discovering simtropolis with all those awesome mods and buildings made it even better!.

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin. It was a while since I played something adventurous or challenging. I missed out on the DS1 hype and am glad i missed the dumpsterfire that 1 was in terms of mechanics. Despite development hell, this itteration offered the quality I had been looking for some time and no game would ever match it after. Great balance and replay value. It isnt without its fair share of problems, but they are relatively minor imo.

I started gaming right around 1980, give or take a year. My five favorite games are likely...

Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (PCE SCD)
            Daytona USA (Model 2, JAMMA)
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2)
            Metal Slug (Neo Geo)
            Star Wars Galaxies (PC)

This was harder than I thought to narrow down to five.

I've been gaming for 36 years, so my top 5 is heavily nostalgia-based. For instance, although I absolutely love Breath of the Wild, it still doesn't beat my first memories of the original LoZ (and I still love playing it to this day). FYI, the first video game I ever played was Grand Prix for the Atari 2600 in 1982! My top 5:

                1. Ultima 7 + Serpent Isle (1992/93)
                2. The Legend of Zelda (1986)
                3. Final Fantasy 6 (1994)
                4. Super Metroid (1994)
                5. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (1997)

I've been gaming since the Intellivision. The first game I ever bought was Ultima III on the Apple IIe and my first system I bought myself was a Snes.

My Top 5. Some are great games. Others just great memories.
                  Baldur's Gate II.
                  Zelda : Ocarina of Time.
Ultima V (Never really got into later Ultima games, but loved this entry)
                  Project Gotham Racing 2.
                  Nethack.
