it depend what type of horror movie you are in to really?
Dead Space?
Outlast?
Alan Wake's American Nightmare?
what about jump scare games like slenderman or 5 nights and freddies?
hopefully atleast one of these suggestions was helpful
Also, you can have a pretty horrible experience if you play Mario Party on the N64 with 4 friends

I was going to recommend Evil Within. Nice to see another fan. Love how much of a shattered psyche that game was. The sequel was still cool, but a bit too straight forward and down to earth. Also a fan of Silent Hill.
Honestly, the only horror games that do it for me these days are actually 2D indie ones like Lone Survivor and Neverending Nightmare. You can get those digital on most current platforms. I played those on Vita and they're surprisingly intense with some headphones on, late at night.
Or Little Nightmares and Inside if you can count those, though I wouldn't say they're "scary" but they certainly have horror themes, mystery and vague "show don't tell" visual storytelling.Last edited by Dub-Z; 12-19-2018, 11:36 PM.

Have you checked out "Senua's Sacrifice"? Otherwise, I think the last game with horror elements I played was "Thief 3" with the Shalebridge Cradle. I played Vampyr early this year and while it was atmospheric, and I hear they've fixed the hack'n'slash combat system, it wasn't scary, just moody.

Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion sounds like the perfect game for you. It's full of ghosts and has a confusing story. It's also free. And scary!!!
