While the ending was the most disappointing part of ME3, I have to admit that I was pretty irritated that they disregarded your choices with the Rachni and the Collector Base, as well. Whatever your decisions in those storylines, the Rachi still show up again as a threat in ME3 and Cerberus still gets everything it needs from the base. Major narrative decisions that meant nothing.
That said, I loved how all the little decisions you made throughout the game came back to make appearances in small ways; people you saved make cameos, people reference your decisions frequently, and the world feels like one you've been living in for three games and many dlc. It feels like *your* world ... at least in the small details.

Yeah, that was the beginning of this gaming trend of companies giving us bullshit content and then telling us to "suck it up" when we rightfully complain. I remember the pain over that game very well, it started this road toward oblivion that Bioware is now on.

out of the games i've played it would probably be borderlands.
idk man just that last boss fight felt soo... lacking?

Bioshock Infinite's ending is great. The original Bioshock's ending is trash.

The saves carrying over between games never affected the narrative at all. It just changed a few lines of dialogue and swapped out a character or two. The plot of the game was never really changed at all even going into 2. It was pretty obvious ME3 wouldn't make good on this either.

Which ending? The red, blue or green one? (I kid, I know they're all the same)

Hell Gate London
I loved the game but the ending was a massive let down.
[ Sure the story wasn't that great either, but the ending kill it for me. ]

Resident Evil 4. A blast playing but beat it with the red rocket launcher in one hit...sad day

Gears 4 is the most recent for me; it ended in a really random place that did not feel natural.

Tales of Zestaria. That game...I actually turned around and sold it once I finished it. You go through the entire game dealing with this villain who became corrupt and basically wanted to destroy the world. In the end, instead of killing him, you give up 4 of your allies to purify him, and then you get out into a coma to place a magic shield across the world. I realize that the tales games are generally somewhat dour but this game pissed me off so much after I spent all that time reaching the end.

Fable 3. The game wasn't very good to begin with but since they couldn't produce any kind of character development whatsoever with a villain that only became a problem 60% of the way through the story, the ending felt meaningless and rushed. The game was already short but you could inadvertently speedrun this shit.

The original Rayman. For a game so difficult, I was hoping for something grander than a brief fireworks show followed by the credits roll.

I am disappointed by Konami cutting off Kojima from finishing The Phantom Pain. Kojima had a true ending for the game that he but Konami wouldn't let Kojima work on the game any longer so the ending we got felt like a cliffhanger even though Phantom Pain is the last of the series.

System Shock 2. There're worst endings out there, but this one really rubbed me the wrong way. The story, atmosphere, gameplay, all absolutely superb. I was 100% invested in everything the game had to offer. Then the ending happened. It's so out of place it hurts. I'm not gonna spoil it, but imagine watching Alien from 1979 in a middle of the night, but the movie ends with a fart joke. It takes away the entire focus from the story. Instead of reflecting on the awesome experience, you're thinking "What the fuck was that ending?"
