Yeah. There was a mod that gave the towers different effects. The mage tower added more planters if you picked the garden. The templar tower added more tithes from the chapel (not a one time table mission) if you picked the religious garden. The tithes could further be increased by selecting the templar class. Since being a mage/rogue already gave you more planters in the garden versus being a warrior.

Neverwinter Nights 2 has the best fortress building minigame of any rpg.

Exactly! that's an outrage!. And how they advertised the Castle customisation, what ended up as change one single tower between 2 presets, which affects nothing in the end, holy crap.

What pissed me off about the game was requiring dlc to get the real ending for the game. Inquisition forced you to buy the Solas dlc as part of the main story, whereas the first two games didn't have the dlc tie into the main story. The game has also been dumbed down so much you can spam 2-3 activated abilities on any difficulty and win.

Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. As an atheist I chose to master the hunger of the wall, stripping it of its ability to consume the faithless and become strong enough to kill off the leeches (gods) feeding on the mortal races. Instead of just killing the gods though, the ending forced upon you is one of a total lack of control and murder spree consuming anything that moves. It ended up being the "evil" ending, despite my character being neutral the whole fucking game.

    Dragon Age: Inquisition.
It was kinda dull, the main villain was dull, the bossfight was dull.
Buildup was also kinda skipped, just go here kill boss - game done gg, like what ? even DA:2 had better culmination
Felt like the game was cut at 60% of the story progress.

Mass Effect 2&3. 3 is obvious to why, but ME2 is because I didn't like the idea in the suicide mission "If I don't do Mordin loyalty mission, he's going to take rocket blast to his face trying to lock this door" where's the logic in that? Fallout 3 because it was bad rewritten copy of 1&2 and Fallout 4 was just so lackluster of a ending.

    Mass Effect 3.

I was sold on the Game Informer when BioWare advertised the game as having "21 entirely separate endings". The intent, as an RPG, was that your save from the first game would have 3 endings and your save would port over to Mass Effect 2 and have like 12 endings and that would port to the final game and have 21 games. Unfortunately, because EA bought out BioWare they were able to manipulate the infrastructure of the company and made it to where Mass Effect 3 which had something like 9 endings that were just color coded versions of 3 endings? That was a let down that was over 7-8 years in the making. Needless to say the COO of BioWare stepped down and BioWare was sued for false advertising because of this gaffe. Then Andromeda happened. So, yeah, as an RPG fan and someone who loves Science Fiction a lot, this disappointed me the most. Even more than the Fable trilogy.

Could agree with the notion that Mass Effect trilogy's ending was a lackluster. When it comes to the very worst endings in gaming as a whole, from my personal standpoint, Half-Life, as an franchise, takes the crown. Not only Half-Life 1 and 2 were extremely successful games, but also brought in a few innovations, however, the fact the franchise ended in Half-Life 2: Episode Two over a decade ago became a joke, waning from our memories as of late.

Mass effect 3. All that time spent, throughout the series, getting that ending. It still irks me.

Ooof. I think I got one-upped hard by this post. ME3's ending, that's definitely up there as one of the most disappointing endings, ever.

No Man's Sky. you just simply restart in a new galaxy. Biggest slap in the face.

I'm with you on that one. I was incredibly disappointed with that one, though the game itself was great and I can't complain. The Burial at Sea DLCs didn't really help me either with that issue either.

I also raise another disappointing ending (of another awesome game nonetheless): L.A. Noire...my goodness that ending was disappointing, and frankly - was the only qualm I remember having about the game. Heh
