    Game with worst/most disappointing ending

What are some games with the worst/most disappointing/dumbest ending?

One choice of mine is Bioshock Infinite. Maybe because it had such a great storyline or because I really liked Booker, but I was angry with the ending. Then again I could see why it had to end the way it did, to stop Booker from becoming evil and ruining the world, but couldn't they have come up with another alternate ending? Or am I wrong?

    Danganronpa v3.

Chapter 6 is filled with unsufferable bullshit (the part where you must lose 4 minigames in a row, the ridiculously hard argument armament against ki-boi, the fact it's so long for just a "we fiction, u fan is stupid haha") but the ending makes no sense (how did they survive ? Tsumugi had her body splattered by a block but the whole building collapsing doesn't kill them ? Why ? Especially with all that talk of "we will end everything !!!").

Capcom games that make you buy the real ending. Capcom sucks. It always baffles me why people pick on EA, Activision and Ubisoft when there's Capcom.

    ***SPOILERS***

First they constantly talk about Thor throughout the game, then you go through the Telltale-style boss fight with the leprechaun. At this point your all amped up to fight the real final boss: Thor (or so you think), so you go clean up all the other stuff, get your gear all maxed out, clear Muspelheim and Niflheim, and get ready to open up Jotunheim with the expectation Thor would interrupt you, because there's no way that was the final boss fight. You head to the world tree, enter Jotunheim, some lore happens, then you follow the path and finally you get...

10/10 most disappointing ending I've experienced. The story part of it was great, but the end was unexpected, there was no real build up. It just happens. You think there is more. Then there is nothing. The first Troll was more difficult than the final boss.

Why do they have to keep taking the challenge out of everything?

Not to mention Soul Reaver did the whole cyclical timeline, the present is the future and the future is already written revelation thing way back in 1999. And that was also a really abrupt ending too, but they at least were open about having had to just wrap things up to get the game shipped and hoping to see it through with a trilogy. Sadly that trilogy lost it's genre focus by the end and lost it's direction.

Still really enjoyed God of War and the sentimental, personal aspect of where they went, for their own reasons, was fulfilling but it definitely felt a bit short changed as far as the adventure and world building goes. I immediately felt like the other realms were shelved, and most feel a bit undercooked compared to Midgard and Alfheim. At the end of the day, they shipped a $60 game and then some, but I couldn't help feeling like a lot was shelved out of necessity from the inaccessible realms to most of the ones you visit feeling undercooked compared to Midgard and Alfheim. Same for recycled trolls.

From MGSV to FFXV, I feel like this was the generation of games that got too big for their britches and had to just come out with phantom pains. God of War probably pulled it off the most and disguises it the best. Plus, we are getting more, so it doesn't sting.

I feel like Chapter 1 ended super strong with Sahalanthropus standing tall at Mother Base, hinting at their newfound status as a world power, with Skull Face talking about the endless cycle of revenge. Then I would have been content with just sideshadow at what we glimpsed with White Mamba taking off... but I think because the game tried to offer chapter 2 and really do nothing in it, it made chapter 1's ending seem like it wasn't even a conclusion.

I would give part of that blame to Kojima as well I know Konami takes the full blame but Kojima should of seen the writing on the wall and should of finished the game when it was supposed to be and not on his time line

I can understand that, but I enjoyed the game so much that was really aggravated me was the lack of back stories. You venture through these beautiful locations with little to no backstory I truly wanted to know more about where I was

That I remember I would say

    Mass Effect 3

Star Wars Battlefront 2 - In fact the entire story was so predictable and when it ended it was so lackluster I thought I was going to see a screen for micro transactions to purchase more of the story

Fallout 4, for lack of endings. DLC didn't affect the endings, either

I preordered that game and as part of the preorder you were allowed into the beta. The game ran like ass on my system and I was bored with the gunplay so I called gamestop and cancelled my preorder. Before I was even off the phone with the lady I was disconnected from the server and my beta account deactivated. I was impressed really.
Working...
